Tuesday 10:30 am: vs Missouri
Wednesday 10:30 am vs Miss State (assuming we beat MO Tuesday)
State with a chance to account for 5 of our 21 losses this season.
Eta: those are ET starts. So actually 9:30 both days

We are currently getting embarrassed by Missouri.

If we are gonna do it, we might as well do it right.

And they are doing it!

I may be alone in this but I'm perfectly happy to lose round 1. We were never going to play ourselves into a 1 seed (would likely have had to make the finals).
Get home, let everyone rest, dont throw a starting pitcher, and see if we can't win a regional as a #2.

Losing to Missouri puts us right where we are already. 2 seed against the 13-16 best 1 seeds. Silver lining we are gonna draw a shitter who doesn’t deserve to host like Kansas or WVU.

And now we are throwing Hooks?

I wish LSU would not have turned him away.

14 hits and 10 runs given up to 16 seed Missouri. That’s bianco ball

Also what’s the point of hitting a ton of home runs if you never have anyone on base when you hit them? Put some hitters with high OB% in between all of your sluggers. You’d be a nightmare team to face offensively.

I don't know what it is about this team. Our fielding improved. Our pitching improved. Our hitting tanked. We are clearly a worse team than last season but with most of the same guys.

Wait wait wait.. I was super busy all day at work today and forgot about the game.. just checked it and we lost HAHSHAHS
Jesus Christ that’s embarrassing
Everyone can simmer the host discussion and book the tickets to Eugene now like they deserve

We lost any chance to host last weekend. Winning or losing today had absolutely zero effect on that.

I’m not sure this is true. We benefited from a very easy SEC schedule last year. We avoided most of the top teams in conference play.
We were an average at best team this year and last year.

Not that anyone gives a shite but I think we get sent to the Kansas regional.
Looks like a HS stadium

That's a knee jerk reaction. This team certainly doesn't look like an Omaha team or anything but we saw firsthand (again) last season what happens to teams that make a deep run in the SEC Tourney once Regional play starts. Last year's team doesn't host in Oxford without making it at least to the semis but the year we won the Natty we went home after one game in Hoover. Go home and rest all your arms. Hope it's somewhere remotely close to Oxford so fans will travel and not UCLA, Georgia Tech or Chapel Hill. Hoping for Lawrence or Lincoln but Hattiesburg wouldn't surprise me as many times as they've sent them up to Oxford in the past. My guess is Tallahassee. They've sent MSU there a bunch and both of us to Miami a couple times. They love sending SEC teams to Florida schools as 2 or 3.

Said it all year, but the margin between 0-2 and getting to Omaha is super fine for this team. We have 3 pitchers that on any given day could go 6 scoreless innings and 2 bullpen arms that can be shutout as well. Or they can give up 6 runs in the 2nd inning.
On offense, we will hit home runs, just depends on whether they are solo shots or 3 runners.
