I know there are some politically connected people on this board. What is everyone’s thoughts on the race for Gov and others?

Waller looks to be pushing for a runoff and it might actually happen based on some polls released in the last week.

May vote in the Republican primary, just to try to knock out Tater. Will vote Hood in the November election.

If you want Hood as your next governor, you want Tater to win the Republican primary.

I never vote in primaries but I registered as a republican for this one just to vote against Tate Reeves

Just go vote. If you don’t, no complaining in January.

I dislike Tate Reeves as much as anyone but I can't imagine disliking him so much that I'd vote for a candidate from the same party as Ilhan Omar or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Y’all, please go vote for Waller. Please.

This.

We really need a runoff for the big money donors to see enough to dump Tate. Waller can actually win in November and will actually attempt to solve problems instead of just pandering to the low information voters.

Yes, but I don't trust this state to vote for Hood in the general election. Although I do agree, that Tater would be his best shot to win. MS is notorious for voting against its best interests and putting party first. So my thought is they would still vote for Tater in the general.

Hood is a real deal gubernatorial candidate. However, there is no way MS votes for a democratic governor in November.

As long as a Democrat doesn't win the governor race, I'm happy.

Those who voted in the Republican primary or did not vote in either primary can vote in the runoff. If you voted in the Dem primary, you cannot vote against Tater Tot in the runoff
