You guys need to check out Jackson jambalaya. Their some good threads and probably more.

He’s running on nothing but endorsements. While Waller and Hood have plans. He paid $27 for each vote while Waller spent $8 each vote. So who’s the real conservative? Everyone in Flowood hates him. He lost his own district. He also got tax dollars to pave his driveway.

He’s as centrist as they come. He’s definitely not a Washington liberal. He said he wouldn’t of run if he couldn’t get republican votes. He’s also pro life.

People just need to go vote. There are simply too many people in our state that don’t take part in the process.

Hood had, and still has, a lot of silent Republican support. Waller getting in the race lessened that. If Tate wins the runoff, you'll see a lot of money that would have gone to Waller go to Hood. It may not be overt, but it will be happen.

I don’t know the man and then again I don’t vote for somebody because “I like them”. This isn’t voting for a prom queen. This is voting for the guy who will get the job done and won’t implement a gasoline tax to join Obamacare which will bankrupt the State.

is that what the Tate Reeves mailers told you to say

The gas tax is a tax swap that helps shift some of the infrastructure burden on passing through interstate traffic. Gas tax has been the same since 1987. Tate’s plan is to continue to allow our roads and bridges to deteriorate. But hey we get to keep our awesome car tags

The Obamacare line is also BS. He’s for accepting the federal money with no obligation for the state to match it. Short term solution but still it’s a plan. Tate’s plan is to just let the small market hospitals close.

I know that you’re more intelligent than this.

Intelligence is relative..if you’re voting for a Dem for Governor in MS you’re either incredibly naive or very young

Voting party line just because is about as dumb and lazy as it gets, whether it is R or D. It is an indicator that someone is easily told what to do.

I don't recall telling anyone to vote for anyone in this thread. I just pointed out a possible consequence of voting for Tate in the primary.

Waller is running on policy while other is running on well, I don’t know. This candidate has spent in excess of 6 million

Tate has also been making the church rounds in the metro area the past year. The big churches. This is no lie: he got picked up at the front of the church with a secret service Tahoe after church.

Bottom line whether you vote for him or not. He has a huge superiority complex. Borderline psychopath.

Agree completely..Waller is my pick as well due to his substance and style. Tate’s arrogance/immaturity is a big negative but respectfully to DSJ none of my friends trusts a Dem in this office, and as a result would have to vote for Tate if he is in the runoff.

Go watch Hood's victory speech on youtube. Or at the neshoba county fair. Annoys me when people equate state politics with national politics. His campaign is really simple and anyone could agree but too bad he has a D by his name.

In my lifetime he has probably been the best politician or public servant other than Thad Cochran. He's brought billions to Mississippi and making it look easy while doing so.

Agree with all you said and my conservative 80 y/o dad agrees with you too regarding his effectiveness as AG, but as a Dem gov he would owe all the wrong people particularly the trial attorneys and that would be a big negative for the state.

Did anyone see on FB today where he was at the airport (looked like Jackson) and tried to preboard before the elderly and veterans and got asked to stand to the side? It might all be bullshite, but I got a chuckle out of it.

That’s a boogeyman. Their time is over. Tort reform, an R majority legislature and conservative courts have effectively shut them down.

Most recent Tate Reeves ads are so fake. He ripped a page out of Robert Fosters and Jim Hood's playbook regarding education. (My stance on education is Jim Hood's plan).

By the way, anything he says is pretty much BS and has no actual plan to implement what he says.

He talks that graduation rates went up under him. Taking all the credit.

A note: this includes private schools which should be left out.

This is truly david vs goliath

Hood has a good statewide appeal that Reeves can't possibly match. Hood doesn't want Waller because he's just the type of milquetoast Republican that can beat him. Reeves has so many negatives that it's comical he's in the position he's in already. Hood, unless he's a far better liar than I thought(possibility he is a lawyer), is an old school Democrat. MS was run by them for decades.
