Ole Miss to begin construction on Shark Aquarium in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium

Rumor has it that Ole Miss is building a tunnel style aquarium under the stadium for the team to walk through before they enter the stadium. Access will be available to fans year round.
I think we should put it over the away tunnel and chum the water as they walk through, but that's just me.
Thoughts?

As cool as this would be, how in the hell are we going to pay for that?

My thoughts are we better not change our mascot again after it's completed

Been wanting this to happen for awhile.

Knowing Ole Miss and how they handle stadium renovations it'll probably end up being trash

Not a fan. If they actually do this then it's all but confirmed we are changing the mascot from Rebels to Sharks

We can be the Rebels but still get behind the Landshark thing. Come on now. The mascot costume desperately needs to be improved though.

I literally had this idea during the whole mascot controversy when going to OM in the 2000s. I was called crazy for thinking it even possible. Except instead of the tunnel it was going to separate the crowd from the field and the sharks could swim in a large rectangular tunnel.
Make an actual live mascot shark.

We get some real sharks on campus everyone will fall in love with the mascot. Get a little baby shark the fans can watch grow up.

Where is the money for this coming from? After losing almost 7,000 donors between 2018 and '19, this year has seen that number grow so exponentially that they can't even sell 16,000 tickets--which are now being offered to the public. Think about that for a minute. Cannot sell 16,000 tickets. I personally have spoken with probably 3 dozen season ticket holders , many of whom have had tickets for years,(some for several decades) the past month. Every one , save one, is not going to buy again and they've cut off all donations. Capitulating to the Monument Mob and then voicing support for an accused sex predator has been the final straw. I had a hunch this was happening. It was confirmed with Keith Carter's plea for money and now admittance they can't sell out the capacity for the Florida game. Also, does anyone know who the alum is that retracted a $50 million dollar pledge?

Yikes. Step away from the ledge, man.

Knowing how we frick stadium renovations up, it will probably end up being a 2 foot Blacktip caught on cut bait at the Long Beach Harbor in a six foot aquarium.

Is there any doubt they will do away with rebels soon?
Posted on 9/18/20 at 2:27 pm to Ancient Astronaut
Soon but I hope it just goes back to Flood

We could save some money and just have a tank full of muddy water. Also, I feel like people who are threatened by the shark thing don't understand the difference between a nickname and a mascot.
