Well of course

I’ve got news for you man, if Lane Kiffin left for BR , they’ll be in the CFB playoff competing by year 2 or 3. Maybe year 1. If something tragic happened to Skip Bertman in the 90s and they came and got Don Kessinger he would’ve taken them to Omaha several times as well. They’re always going to be able to surround coaches with assistants and support staffs that are ahead of what we can do. It just seems so spiteful to want someone to fail who has done so much for your Alma mater. Here’s some perspective , Don Kessinger took us to a Regional in 1995. That was our first since 1977 which coincidentally was the only other year we won the SEC Tournament. When you see numbers like that it makes you realize how much he accomplished in Oxford building it up from nothing. We went 15-6 in conference and won the West in 1982 and didnt even get a fricking NCAA bid. Only Florida got one that season who finished 1 game ahead of us. Most of the message board heroes weren’t alive for those shite fests.

I don't see how the success of Louisiana State in baseball behind Mike Bianco wouldn't always come at our expense...

I like Mike and know he's responsible for the fact that we are a certified baseball program these days, but he makes way too fricking much to crumble like pissed on paper mache more or less all but one Super Game 3 in his career. We've been outscored something like 56-26 in Super Game 3s under Bianco, and we've only mustered 1 run in multiple of those games.

There's not a remote chance in hell we could get Tadlock, and realistically probably no chance at McConnell either. It's going to be Godwin or an up and comer. Prepare to be underwhelmed. As much as it sucks, State is a better job than Ole Miss and they offered multiple dudes the highest paid job in the sport, and they still got spurned multiple times until landing on Lemonis, who is already a more accomplished coach than Bianco for nearly half the cost

If you couldn't tell, I'm pretty tired of getting blown out in Super Game 3s, and I'm pretty pissed that it only took Lemonis 2.3 seasons to go to Omaha twice as many times as Mike has taken us. We're paying top 5 money for top 15 results when we're lucky and don't flame out while hosting a Regional. 21 fricking seasons, all but 2014. Hard to count 2020 when we didn't even have a chance to show our arse in conference play

I can't argue with anything you said in your last two posts. It is time to move on.

Imagine what O could have done if we went out and hired him the best up and coming OC and DC in the country and told him he was not allowed to mess w/ them and only recruit? We made the mistake of giving him the keys to the Camero.

To be honest with you I'll be sad to see Bianco go. He loves Oxford and Ole Miss with all of his heart and that means something. I've been watching him for majority of my life and it's difficult for me to imagine OM baseball without him.

I really don't want to see him go I just wanted to pick on LSU fans and get some funny reactions.

So did Matt Luke. Someone loving Oxford and Ole Miss means nothing.

Matt Luke to Mike Bianco is an apples to hand grenades comparison.

Little update for the thread - Bianco has interviewed with LSU AD Scott Woodward. Doesn’t seem like Bianco wants to come back, and I don’t personally think Keith Carter should welcome him back with open arms after formally interviewing for a job with one of our biggest rivals.

ETA: It’s also possible that KC told Bianco that he should pursue another job because he won’t be retained. Idk though, tough to tell at this point.
