Agree completely. I’ll never stop calling it MPSA

On a related note, JA’s sophomore quarterback has a fricking cannon and makes good decisions when passing the ball. They have another sophomore on the defensive line that apparently got his first offer from Tennessee earlier this week.

Someone save this pic for when we play UF again. Two Ole Miss fans with the record gator catch in the state.

It's football. I'm going. Going to have some beer before and during the game, and I am going to cheer on the team. We only get 7 games in Oxford each year, so if I have a chance to go to any of them, I will. I guess we aren't the same.

^^^ Amen. It needs to always be more about us and not just who we are playing. If that’s at all possible.

Too many of our fans are whiny bitches. If a guy doesn't go to a game because it's hot then he needs to clean the sand out of his pussy.

I’m not going because we’re playing some scrub team and I don’t care to waste my time and watch a blowout. I would like to enjoy the other games all on as well instead of sitting there as a blowout is underway

If we were playing a conference game I would be there.

They want people to attend, give them games worth attending .

I would much rather have big games with a chance to lose than hosting rent a wins .

I think the overall day's cost is the problem for most people. Mix that into the combination of being hot as shite and a crappy opponent and I don't blame them.

Travel to town (not easy for most alumni given location), 2 night hotel minimums, tickets, eating out for 2 days, etc... For a family of 4 you'll be lucky for it to only cost a grand... Why spend at a minimum a grand for the Mercer game?

I have heard and said this saying before but I don't understand its origin.

2 nights at a hotel on a GameDay weekend are probably close to a 1000 alone.

Maybe for a Mercer weekend.

For the conference games, it’s 750-800 a night . Plus all the taxes and fees. $2,000 before you’ve set foot in the town. Insane.

Lol that's true. My mom is in an assisted living facility in Oxford. Hotels have gotten expensive over there just for a normal weekend.

I am going to the game in Columbia. I booked it with points really early. I noticed now they are charging 800 a night for it. It's just a basic Hyatt that normally goes for 150.

Yeah I was just thinking Mercer weekend. Multiply it 3-4 times for any mid-big size conference game.

Or I can spend $50 on food and drinks and watch at home. Catch all the other games. And have money left over to donate to the athletic department or collective.

She just got a new futon for her room. You will have to watch a lot of Hallmark movies though.

I think she is more of a Wendy's gal for burgers. Likes Sonic for drinks.
