Kiffin has this offense working with him and give it another year or 2 and he is a slam dunk hot list HC candidate for a P5 school. Seems like a stupid move unless he has some tie we don’t know about to their new HC or loves auburn.
That being said I’m sure auburn would overpay him to get him and nothing else would matter.

That's true, but he could also fall flat on his face trying to revive that offense that has been recruited and coached to play gusball and has not done a good job oline or qb recruiting.

He likely won’t be after this year. The Bears (my team since the early 1980’s) need to jettison both their OTs and draft two replacements this off season. Or restructure the contract ansdmove the LT (Leno) to RT and cut Massie.
Massie had a career year when he first signed with the Bears. But ever since he has been a liability. Personally think his bad performance had everything to do with the decline of Long at RG.

OL is one of our deeper rooms at the moment so I wouldn’t expect a transfer there. TE, Pass rusher, and maybe WR if we find the right fit.

There is word saying that the staff is high on Cedric Melton sliding into the RT position. We are in a good position with the OL right now when we have competition and can slide guys into various positions when needed. Something that has been lacking in the past.

Then you haven’t paid too much attention to how the OL performed to recent years. You don’t get to the top of the leader board in the SEC for both passing and rushing having a horrible OL. They are only going to get better.

I was referring to depth and competition which is something we haven't had on the OL in years. The only place we could even claim to have depth recently would be at WR. And our performance on the OL, prior to this year, has been nothing to celebrate. It would appear we had some talent just poor coaching.
Snagging Wallace would be huge. Do we have any sort of in with him?
