I hadn't heard about either one of those issues. Kind of surprised to be honest

Our #1 starter hasn't pitched well except fot one 4 or 5 week stretch in the middle of the sesson. Our #3 starter isn't really SEC quality. We have one good middle reliever and one good closer. Outside of that our bullpen is garbage. And we are below average in the conference at the plate. We have 3 guys in the lineup basically hitting below 250. Four guys if you start Randall at SS over Paino. We might get lucky and win a few games. But we will most likely get exposed early

Well when you put it like this haha…

We either go 2 and q or win the regional with ease. This team is so Jekyll and Hyde I don’t know which one is more likely.

We are the most consistently inconsistent team.

At least the pitchers are well rested. I think the entire staff could use a breather

I don't think we make it to Omaha or even out of this regional, but it won't be because of pitching. Hunter Elliot has pitched and proven himself on this stage before. Cade Townsend has struggled a bit lately, but he's a 1st rounder this summer. Taylor Rabe is pitching the best out of anyone on the pitching staff right now. I worry about our bats no showing this weekend like they've done for half the games this year.

By before, you mean before he had TJ surgery and missed two years.

Coming back from that, he can't throw a curve ball for a strike. So batters are sitting on fastball, or they're taking pitches for walks. Or he's beaning them in the ear hole.

And he has gotten progressively worse.

Mason Nichols was a key part of our 2022 championship. As a true freshman. I think he allowed one run in the post season in like 19 innings of work or something ridiculous.

By the time he was a Sr he had an ERA of 6. He regressed significantly over 4 years in our program.

I take: How has he pitched over the past 30 days instead of: How did he do in Omaha 4 years ago.

Bianco has a long track record of pitchers getting injured and then regressing.

First I remember was him turning the best closer in program history(Biddle) into a Sunday starter and completely ruined his career.

Bianco loves pitchers who overthrow and have a hard slider.
Those guys tend to get injured.

Tennessee , Kentucky , Georgia Tech and a few others have already started playing today.

Ole Miss and Arizona State first pitch set for 8pm

Rebs favored by -1.5

Some random team will win the Auburn regional while we go 0-2 or 1-2 in ours.

Lotta field left to plow but could ole miss backdoor their way to an Oxford super ?

Dynamics have slightly changed

But then again, If this ASU Ace locks us down tonight and we look foolish it won’t really matter anyway

I mean is there any doubt in this outcome? We've all seen this movie before...

No, what will happen is we will knock him out in 2-3 innings then his reliever will shut us down for just 1 hit the rest of the game. And we’ll lose by 1

Zero chance we choke until we know for a fact that we would host a super regional.

Auburn loses and Nebraska/SD State still scoreless but the Huskers are about to put together a big inning it looks like.

Just saw that Southern Miss lost to Little Rock. Good lord the Mustard Buzzards have had some incredible teams the last 6 years and they just can't win 5 or 6 games in June when it matters most. I used to know that feeling.
