Yep sounds like we are headed to Lincoln Nebraska, which is paired with the Auburn regional.

I’m good with that. I did not want to risk losing in the USM regional. I enjoy having that 2-0 Super Regional sweep over them from 2022.

ASU’s ace is really good. With the way we like to strike out I could easily see him shutting us down for 7 innings or more. Not a good matchup at all for us.

State gets Cincinnati as a 2 and we get Arizona State as a 3.
I would say there are about even odds for any of the 1, 2 ,3 seeds in Lincoln to emerge as the winner.
Historical odds are:
1: 66%
2: 28%
3: 5%
4: 1% (actually way less than 1%).
ETA: I got curious and looked. Since the tournament expanded to 64 in 1999 the 4 seed has won 9 regionals. Which actually puts its success rate at about 2%.
I had forgotten that Fresno State won it all as a 4 seed in 2008. That's a great story.

shite. We are paired up with the Atlanta Regional with Georgia Tech and Oklahoma. That's a damn competitive and hard road to Omaha.

AZ state will probably beat us game one. They have better stats across the board than any team in our regional.
If we get past AZ State’s ace we’ve got a good shot at Omaha. Auburn is not that impressive. Losing to a lot of teams we beat.
Our side of Omaha would have UCLA, UNC, and Florida as the favorites.

I just don't see this as an Omaha team.
Our #1 starter hasn't pitched well except fot one 4 or 5 week stretch in the middle of the sesson.
Our #3 starter isn't really SEC quality.
We have one good middle reliever and one good closer. Outside of that our bullpen is garbage.
And we are below average in the conference at the plate. We have 3 guys in the lineup basically hitting below 250. Four guys if you start Randall at SS over Paino.
We might get lucky and win a few games. But we will most likely get exposed early

Our best shot is our bats getting hot and we score 10 runs a game 5 games in a row.

The year we won it all, we were on the ropes against Arizona and Miami in the first 2 regional games. Just need 1-2 lucky breaks to get back to Omaha - the ingredients are there.
