I think our biggest issue tomorrow is motivation.
I'm 100% confident Pete will have the team professional and ready. But Florida views this as basically their most important home game in a decade.

I will always find it difficult to understand how one can’t get motivated for a game when you are only guaranteed 12 a season. Maybe that’s just me.

Lacy is 100% out tomorrow. Injury report downgraded him from probable to doubtful.

Probably for the best to be honest. His backup has been pretty solid and Trinidad is the offense right now. It’s best to let him rest the next two weeks and not rush him back. I don’t think he would be a difference maker tomorrow

Conventional wisdom lists three reasons for Gators to be favored:
Lacy being doubtful
Home field advantage
Loss of focus/letdown after LSU game
Lacy hurts. Good backups, but no one forces missed tackles and picks up pass-pro blocks like Lacy. Advantage Gators.
Home field is usually advantage over an offense that can’t handle it. Chambliss is calmer than most in dealing with that pressure, and offense follows his lead. Minimal advantage Gators.
Focus/letdown: Pete’s superpower seems to be keeping focus amidst distractions. If his management during playoff distractions last year doesn’t prove that, nothing will. We have a bye week coming up, FL also had a big emotional win last week, and we should maintain reasonable focus. No advantage.
After that, it’s just a very good Fl offense against an improving OM defense with a stout D line, and an explosive OM offense against a questionable FL defense. Without the Lacy/Home/Focus factors, OM’s offense should make us a 4-7 point favorite. I wouldn’t bet this game, but definitely wouldn’t give FL 3 points.

One thing that stood out watching this weeks episode of the season: I genuinely don’t think Pete saw last week as an especially big game.
Obviously some of kiffins former players were hyped, but he was joking around with Kiffin pregame like old friends. I think that helps avoid a letdown here
