Yeah, it feels like perfect timing for the bye week.

I swear we could trot the 2007 Patriots out there against Arkansas but it would still be a close game as long as it said Ole Miss on the jersey.

Is it just me or do y’all have more confidence when Bentley has the ball? Love Judkins, but Bentley has great vision
Judkins is the offensive version of Greg Hardy. He takes games off. Anytime Bentley runs the ball he’s got great vision and is running his arse off to hit the hole. Judkins runs into the back of his offensive linemen and immediately goes down. He’s not motivated anymore since he got his payday

Ugly win but I'll take 5-1.

If you had told me in the preseason we would start out 5-1 I would have been on cloud 9. Got a good shot at a NY6 bowl if we take care of business.

Just got home from the game. Crowd was great again. We are 5-1 baby! I'll take it.

Totally agree. 5 and 1 at this point is nice. Bye week. Time to heal up. Scheme up a unstoppable offense for Auburn game of the road, who by the way has the LSU game this week, which should get their undivided attention. I like our chances to be 7 and 1 with all of our goals in front of us.

I too am glad to be 5-1! The Auburn game is massive. Historically we lose this type of game.

Judkins needs less carries and Bentley needs more, I said it.

Judkins still looks hurt to me. He had a great 30+ yard run where he had a great move but he was caught from behind. I don't remember him getting caught last year so I wonder if maybe he's still not 100% and lacking some of the break away speed

Judkins still doesn’t look shifty enough, he didn’t win enough one on one situations and not nearly as dangerous as Bentley. I think Judkins is far better in pass protection but that’s a little down the list of what we planned on him doing well.

I don’t know what’s up with Judkins this year but he just isn’t as quick as he was last year. It felt like last year he always made the first person miss and that isn’t happening right now. We need to stop whatever soft zone coverage we play on long 3rd down’s because it hasn’t worked at all this year.

Yes, supposedly a “lower body” injury….not sure if he reinjured his knee or turned an ankle. Hopefully the two weeks off will see him back healthy

Worst third down D in the country it seems like. Also, we didn't convert a third down until the fourth quarter and then ended up 4-14 on third down conversion. That would have been the stat of the day had we lost. An average of 6.9 yards to go on third down doesn't help and that is caused by constant penalties and dumb, unimaginative play calling.

There are fewer things scarier than Charlie Weis Jr. play calling this October season

I don't really think play calling was the problem last night. Dart had a bad night. He missed a lot of reads and made a lot of bad decisions. I don't know if Arkansas was doing something to confuse him. He'll bounce back.

You would be wrong. The play calling was the same weird shite they broke out for the Alabama game. It didn't give the offense much opportunity to succeed.

Why are people shitting on Dart? He has us at 5-1 and won a couple of games with his tenacity that classic Ole Miss teams would lose every single time.

Dart has been great for most of the season and was the reason we won the LSU game. I'm just saying he was off last night. He was tentative, he handed the ball off several times when he should have kept it, etc. I'm not calling for him to be benched or anything. He's usually great. And he's not the only reason we sputtered all night. We were getting stuffed on runs up the middle all night.

I'm thinking that Dart is probably hurt and certainly needs the rest.

Lane needs to take a long hard look at our OL's scheme, as well as the play calling. Maybe it was the $14 beers at the game last night, but it seemed like the play calling on offense was refusing to attacking vertically. It was bizarre.

I think Bentley needs more carries. Judkins is either still hurt and not healthy, or he bulked up too much during the offseason - but he isn't nearly as elusive as he was last year.
