Make a defense great again.

We have 23 sacks the last 3 games. That’s insane

Utah could do us a massive favor of they can hold on against BYU

Sorry guys. I couldn't will the Utes to victory out here in Utah. I'm disappointed in them as well.

Forced 4 fumbles and a pick last night. That's how you win big games.

Big 10: 4
Notre Dame
Big 12: 1
ACC: 1
G5: 1
That leaves a max of 4 SEC teams. Then we'll have to worry about 2nd place ACC team (assuming SMU & Miami win out).
The nightmare scenario is BYU finishes undefeated then is upset in the Big 12 championship game.
The Big 10 scheduling is a joke. There are only 4 good teams. OSU plays the other 3 but they don't play each other. Meanwhile the good SEC teams all play each other. Penn State is overrated. Indiana has looked great but has beaten only 1 team with a winning record (5-4 Nebraska).
(I refused to spend anytime thinking about playoff scenarios until after yesterday's game.)
If Texas beats A&M and Georgia beats Tenn, then it will be Texas, Tenn, Bama, Georgia and Ole Miss vyiing for a max of 4, maybe 3 spots. If Aggies win maybe we'll jump Texas, which won't have any Top 25 wins. But we will have the worst loss by far.
Tl'dr I think we still need help. I'm not assuming a Florida win, BTW. That will be a tough game assuming Lagway is back.
ETA: We should be South Carolina's biggest fans.

I think we should be pulling for a Tennesee win over Georgia to remove them from the equation entirely and then a Tennessee loss to Vandy. Need Texas to beat TAMU as well. We also need Notre Dame to lose another one
(Although for ratings purposes they probably get in over us at 10-2 anyways). If Indiana loses to OSU then they are probably out due to their weak arse schedule, even with one loss, which leaves 3 B1G teams. Miami/SMU/ losing another game and BYU losing would also be super helpful.

We need byu to take a regular season loss or win the championship to make the Big 12 a 1 bid league. Miami loss was huge. A ND loss would be the cherry on top although if it is to Army that introduces another potential bid thief.

All math aside, the Kentucky loss will be our undoing.

When you are up at 1AM screaming at the TV saying “where the frick is the PI.”, you know that you may have a problem.

The ACC and Big 12 are both only getting one team in this year. Ole Miss will be a top 5 team in all the metrics if we beat Florida and State to end the year. We will know for sure Tuesday when the college football committee ranks us where we stand.

This is where the frickening will happen. If computers made the rankings, we’d have a better chance.

Last year they left out Florida State because they weren’t winning a playoff game without their starting QB. We just need to take care of business and dominate Florida and State to end the year.

I actually think the committee will help us more than computers. At the end of the day, if we finish 10-2 and miss out, Kiffin can’t blame anyone but himself. I love the guy though and he won me back last night. I think he’s the best coach we’ve had since Vaught at this point. The culture has shifted and changed dramatically. Our players went into that game last night knowing they were prepared and going to win. Haven’t seen that since Freeze
