Best BBQ I ever ate was at Fresh Air in Jackson, GA.
I’m in middle Georgia, it’s definitely up there. Great BBQ.
Also, I really enjoyed a little place in columbia. But it wasn’t the famous place. I think it was Buffett style little on the east side. Maybe Little Pigs?

Louisiana has the best food overall hands down. We have good bbq here as well. You have to be able to cook exceptionally well in order to make it here in the food business. We are just great cooks down here in general and can cook anything and make it taste excellent. Bbq isn't what I would choose and isn't my favorite thing to eat though. Louisiana has way too much great food to just to focus on bbq.

I used to say there was no such thing as bad BBQ, some is just better than others. A place in Ashland KY, proved me wrong. It was NASTY. Congrats Kentucky!
If you’re going to Northern Kentucky for good Kentucky BBQ, you’re looking in the wrong place.

I like a brisket or a good rack of ribs but BBQ to me is pulled pork and I'll put Simmons in Guntersville,AL up against anyone's.

BBQ isn’t a verb. Fight me

I would put E&L’s or the fricking Chevron on Lakeland Drive in Flowood, MS over any shite that came out of Texas. Steak isn’t meant to be BBQ’d and only fhags like brisket.
Give me Carolina BBQ over anything else.

Which type? Eastern NC is different from Western NC and Low Country (SC) is different from both.

If you have never had Leatha's BBQ in Hattiesburg, MS, do yourself and go. By far the best ribs I have ever had.

There are obviously many BBQ spots in Birmingham you've never been to or heard of.
And anyone down voting my post about Archibald's ribs has either never been there or just a hater.

Had brisket for the first time a few months ago, and was extremely disappointing. I was expecting something I never had before, but its just pot roast with bar-b-que sauce on it. frick brisket
Nothing a trip to the BBQ capital of the world Houston, Texas won't cure.
Try:
Kileens
Roegels
Pit Room
Corkscrew
Truth
Brett's
Shall I go on . . .

Red State BBQ in Georgetown, Kentucky
Not sure why this is getting 7 down votes?
I think it is a Top 30 in the USA even tho the exterior looks bad, food is good
I like you can get both beef and pork there
I also like western KY BBQ because the use mutton and mutton is tasty!
BBQ is good across the south but when it comes to chicken I like mine fried not BBQ'd
