Outer skirt is about as good as you can get.

Ribeye if I want a steak
Tri-tip if I want sandwiches
Skirt or Flank if want to make tacos
Depends on the mood, I guess.

At home? I'm not roasting prime rib.
I have a stupidly easy standing rib roast recipe that you can't mess up.
Season it anyway you like and put it in a 500 degree oven for 5 minutes per pound. When the timer goes off, turn off the oven, leave the roast in there for 2 hours, and don't open the door.
I've done it this way the last 5 Christmases and it's never come out any way other than a perfect medium rare.

For those who said t-bone/porterhouse, which side of the bone do you like better?
Strip. BTW a sirloin is just a lower tier cut of a Strip. It seemed like you got far better cuts of sirloin 20+ years ago.I think they wanna classify any higher tier cut of sirloin as Strip because you can obviously charge more.

Had a butcher years ago tell me...If you want the best cut of meat for the price get chuck eye. He was 100% correct and have grilled it many times over the years.

It really is.
Frankly, I don't mind paying Wal-Mart's outrageous price for them. That cut is full of flavor.
Lately, my dad has been picking up tenderloins for like, $5/lb at Hi Nabor. I've done different things with those. Slow roasted, sous vide, sliced up and grilled.

OP, out of curiosity, do you mind me asking how much you paid for that half cow?
ETA: I see that question has been sort of answered.
Can any coastal Alabama or Mississippi baws help me? My brother has been bragging about buying half cows around where he lives in PA for like, $1000. I tried to find some where I live, no dice. Last weekend I was at a farmers market and found a rancher in stone county that sells half cow for $1500, quarter for $750.
Does that seem high? I mean, I'd rather pay that much here on the coast than have to drive to the middle of the state, but I feel like that's high. I bought some meat from her. Sirloin and flank was good (be gentle, she was out of most of the good cuts by the time my lazy arse got out of bed) and I'm going to test the brisket out Sunday.

A friend was buying them for $3.30 per pound hanging weight. So, for half a cow, that would be $1000ish. Maybe more if it was a bigger cow. She's in the central part of the state, but she bought from a farmer in Huntsville. It was a few years ago when she told me that. I don't know what prices look like now.
ETA - After looking around, it seems that $1500 is probably a reasonable price for a half cow right now, assuming that includes processing.

Love me some prime rib. I like to grill at home. When I go to a place like Ruth’s Chris I always get the stuffed chicken.

What is it about a NY Strip that you don’t like? Genuinely curious..
