I went out of town for the weekend and then see this crap just now. This must have come out of nowhere quickly. I had never heard of Dennis Gates on Thursday afternoon when I left my house. I come back and he's the coach.

Good luck to those punishing themselves with following this. For me, it will be like reading about how bad the Star Wars movies are now. Not going to watch the movies themselves, just have fun laughing at how afwul they are.

I thought it was a ho hum pick when it was announced.
I quickly liked him in his interviews.
He’s doing very very well with a very limited roster.

Well, I was watching the Vandy game and witnessed what appeared to be a half time adjustment…when is the last time we had a coach that actually implemented half time adjustments? I know the game came down to the wire, but this dude can coach…which got me thinking about all the noise about the hire in the spring. Just blows me away how much the fans have came back to support. I wasn’t over the moon over the hire by any means either, but this dude has quickly earned fan support which is huge. Go Chiefs!

Quality bump. Impressed so far. The Man can coach. Can he recruit the big board crashers he needs? We shall see.
Though I would add that though it may have turned out to be a good hire does not negate that it was indeed hasty and cheap. Dumb luck often triumphs over skill.

I think you were one of the few that liked the hire early on.
I was nervous about the hire, because of how bad the last 2 coaches have been and Gate’s lack of experience.
His Asst coaches have been good hires too. We will lose TY in the next few seasons when he gets hired to be a HC
