That turnover at end of the half was a dagger, we all knew deep down Mizzou didnt have a come back in them. Elko cemented this with the fake punt (great call) and abusing us in one of our best areas (run defense) in the second half. Coaching clinic, but works because Elk has the horses to impose his will.
A&M is the most complete team in the conference and Elko coached circles around Drink and co. They are light years ahead of MIZ as a program.

This board really has become a cesspool.
Not too far from the great outdoors if you want to check out Rock Bridge State Park, Grindstone Nature Area (one mile from stadium)...great time of year for it.

Oh, and also COMO is home to the largest burr oak tree in the world just outside town in the MO river bottom.

Anything but football at this point man.

I think Freeze is washed. Plus daughter talkin all that shite, no one wants that drama around.
Why would he settle? These AD's writing massive buyouts in to these contracts are a joke. I'm glad BK is out of the conference, but despise the fact a failure is going to be paid $50MM to go away.

Two in the stink one in the urethra?
Drink is fine, school has plenty of NIL resources. New OC, take another crack next year. His post game did come across a bit like he gone, but then again could just be because he let the Aggie yell leaders push his shite in.

Cignetti could very well be a flash in the pan, IU’s schedule is a joke.

The SEC is the deepest league by FAR. Very few gimmes in this league, roster quality top to bottom of the league is loaded. Drink needs to fire Moore and keep grinding.

It’s early, team is putting up points. If they can gel and find some rhythm on defense who knows. Gotta be more lock down defensively for sure…but it’s early. FT’s will be a problem this year based on growing sample size. I’ve not watched other sec team so can’t comment on how we finish there, but Mitchell’s gonna be a beast in the league

Gotta go about 65/35 run vs pass, open up play book (if any) in run game and commit to it. This team is good enough to win, gotta minimize the true freshman mistakes, part of which is just not putting him in position to make them. O-line needs to tighten up in a hurry.

Expectations

We are forever smitten by them.

Drink can stay or go, us fans will remain. It’s yet to be shown if you can win championships here. We got a long way to go. Drink has taken a step as did Pinkel. Program is Decades in the making in an era of instant gratification. Patience is our friend

Have to demand better. Raise the expectation. No more flash in the pan thinking there is some panacea that magically changes things. Even a win tonight the message is that this is unacceptable. Mediocrity is unacceptable. Rock fights are mediocre. Losing close to Vandy is mediocre. Last drive chance to win with the ball against Bama and shitting the bed is mediocre, yet others wanna poach Drink. Mizzou fans gotta stop settling for jack shite “accomplishments”.

Mizzou bringin up the rear per usual. Riding the peaks in the waves of mediocrity. Yeah they should and probably will win, but should it even be a question?

Didn’t think so.
Whatever it takes to get the human element out of the decisions. Conf champs are in, then wild cards based on standings/tie breakers, etc., instead of a group of people who then just go advocate for their faves over whiskey and cigars in a back room somewhere.
If Auburn can come out inspired after the firing, they can pull it off...but tough QB situation. Auburn defense is legit and a tragedy considering the lack of offensive production. Maybe with Hugh out of the way they open things up a bit, and with Arnold on the bench at least won't have him holding on to the ball for days at a time.

It's really unbelievable how stupid college football fans have become. They believe anything they read...AI is going to cause a lot of havoc with these tools.

Drink is locked in and going......no where.[/img]

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD...but no guarantees in business. Dude's buyout is nothing...idk if it's worth paying him top 5 $$ with top 30 results, but, stability amidst the chaos in CFB can take a program far in this day and age.
