Has the rule changed in the last couple years? It seems to be ruining college hoops.

You shouldn’t be able to jump into a spot at the last second...Almost like to take a charge you needed to have been there a few secs

I wish they would eat the whistle more often.

There doesn’t need to be a foul called every time someone hits the deck

I guess you never watched a Duke basketball game dating back to the 80s? Guys just slide underneath you and get bogus calls. Take that shite call out of the game. The NBA was calling that shite a few years ago too. Fans hate it.

Someone that goes to a spot with the intention of getting run over shouldn’t get the benefit of a foul call. They should just get run over.

It was bad tonight and the announcers were as clueless as the refs.

The Cam Thomas charge was the biggest pussy call of the tournament.

It’s become the soccer flop. In fact basketball reminds me a lot of soccer with all the begging for fouls

It's an opportunity for the officials to get that "look at me" moment. It's a momentum changing call usually, and officials get their rocks off by making it because in their minds it rewards a tough, hustle play, when in reality it promotes all the things that have already been addressed here. Officials are just needy humans, like everybody else.

LSU fan crying about refs, what a surprise. You grudge carrying people have convinced yourself you were cheated in Michigan game, now ancient history, just like Peterson bobbling a possible interception. Just get over it... let it go... quit trying to say the rule is wrong, refs conspired, NCAA seeded wrong, ESPN hates you, announcers are prejudiced, god isn’t fair... on and on and on... Jeeezzz give it a rest!

The game changed once they allowed players to carry the ball instead of dribbling. And to take about five steps driving to basket.

Are we talking about CBB or the NBA?

Travels are the one area that CBB are usually very good.

NBA is way way way better than college in this respect. You can literally watch a college game and it's not totally out of the ordinary to see 3-4 charge calls in a game.

I believe we even got called for 5 in 1 game this past season ourselves. And yes some are totally legitimate but it gets way out of control if you're calling it that many times in 1 game. You're simply getting fooled by floppers at that point.

So you’re ok with lowering the shoulder and driving the lane like an out of control running back? Stop calling charges and you get the NBA.

I think that reffing in college basketball in general has been downright atrocious for several years.

Not sure about college but my grandson plays basketball at a very large high school in Texas. From 7th grade on they are coached to take a charge.

The referee's know it and they look for it. If they miss it they hear about it from the coach and the fans.

In fact if you take a charge you get out of running the next day at practice.

I don't know man, I feel like even in CBB they let them walk around like crazy now. I can't tell you how many obvious missed traveling calls I saw this season, many by Bama players.
