The pigs seem very vested in Mississippi attendance numbers. Ask me how I know they are in last place….

Two L's in a row do that to you.

Makes you wonder how long Lane will put up with that non-sense before he leaves for a better program. Like FSU or South Carolina
Nobody is wondering this

The better question is why do we have better home attendance with a shite program? More loyal fans? Ding ding.
Because your fans love to watch shitty football? Congrats?

The game sounded like it was being playing at a neutral site at times.

Oxford is extremely small and isolated. 11 AM makes it tough for folks to make it especially if they don’t have a place to stay.

A lot of Arkansas folks I talked to in the ridiculous concession lines were mostly from the Memphis area. Passel of hogs round those parts

OM fanbase is made up of the typical limp wrist suburbanites that are scared of Covid so they likely stayed home

You want to know how I know this is a lie?
They don't serve Funnel Cake at your stadium.

Stadium seats 64,000+, not 55,000. Seated nearly 67,000 for a recent Bama game. The gaps you saw were mainly in the visitor's section--a few thousand on Arkansas. Some of them didn't show up.
I was there. This isn't true. The stadium had empty seats galore - throughout the entire west grandstand. Whatever you guys reported attendance-wise is probably heavy by 10k.

The corner sections that were empty were the away sections so ask Arky.....

Attendance has been a problem for a while at Ole Miss. There is not one defining factor driving the attendance issues. There are numerous: fans getting priced out of games, general apathy, Oxford’s isolation from major cities, our fanbase’s tendency to stay in the Grove, etc.
Finally. An honest answer.
A lot of fanbases are struggling to get people off their damn phones and away from their big flatscreens at home.

I wasn’t happy with the crowd on Saturday. I can understand the visitor sections not being sold out, but there were a lot of pockets in the rest of the stadium where tens to hundreds of seats weren’t filled, particularly in the south end zone.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again - the worst decision our athletic department has made with our football stadium was moving the student section from the south end zone to the north end zone. The south end zone is NEVER close to being sold out, and it looks horrible on TV when the “premium” seats aren’t filled. The students haven’t had a problem filling the NEZ this year (I’ve been to all our home games and the game in Atlanta), and it’s idiotic that we punish the students by giving them the worst seats in the house.
Tell the rich yeezers in the SEZ to put asses in seats, or GTFO.
