Does Georgia State have a solid team or did Auburn just have a bad outing?

Not trolling, I missed the game. Saw the final score and was pretty surprised. Did Nix get pulled or hurt?

Penn State hangover, plus GA State goes all out against the SEC. Add in Nix missing a couple wide open receivers.

Nix was yanked harder than a wanker.

The Barn needed a gift from the refs to beat them.

Auburn looked as bad as their 2012 team did in the first half last night. Uninspired play, getting pushed around on both lines, horrible QB play, terrible gap discipline on defense. I stopped watching in the 2nd half after they blocked that punt for a TD thinking they'd woken up and would run away with it. I guess Nix continued to be terrible in the 2nd half and got benched.

Army absolutely molested Georgia State 43-10 this year. This was a yikes game for Auburn.

Auburn players looked totally disinterested in being there, we were missing our two starting MLBers in the first half (McLain cane back for 2nd half after serving his BS targeting penalty from Penn St and we shut them out in the 2nd half), Bo Nix had one of his patented horrible Bo Nix games, tons of drops by receivers, OL got pushed around.

Auburn definitely has issues. Mainly the scheme Mason is trying to run on D, we don't have any WRs that look to to be in the top half of the SEC, OL has been exposed as what we thought they would be, and Mike Bobo abandons the run faster than Mike Leach at times. Yesterday was a 2011 Utah State or 2015 JSU performance, if not worse. Just about anything that could go wrong yesterday did go wrong and it looked like not many of them cared until it was almost too late. I will give Harsin some credit for pulling the string and sitting Bo's arse on the bench. Gus never had the balls to do it.

And all of that doesn't even mention what the ramifications in the locker room may be if Bo makes the start after getting benched and TJF leading the team to a win. So I say all of that to say, it's highly possible the wheels are starting to fall off if this team before we even get into SEC games. Maybe they wake up and get some fire in them. Maybe they don't and we win 5 games this year. Who knows, but we knew this was going to be a pretty daunting rebuild, but I think the way they blew out the cupcakes and hung tough with a top ten team on the road, they kinda shot their wad. We will see if Harsin earns his paycheck and gets them back on the right track and focused, but there are major issues right now.

Hangover from the Penn State + Auburn didn’t take Georgia State seriously + Georgia State wanted badly to go in there and win + Bo Nix played terrible + Auburn isn’t very good anyway. Just my two cents.

Auburn’s lines got out played by Ga St most of the game, especially the offensive line. QBs also couldn’t hit open receivers.

Basically Auburn does what they always do. They pull a game out of their fricking arse against a non P5 opponent. They will similarly pull games out of their arse against multiple opponents this year

Our defense sucked the first half and it was a very blah type game.

They settled down the second half, and Finley provided a spark and made some plays.

I think they’ll refocus this week, but still.. our trench play has got to improve.

Army beat Georgia State 43-10
North Carolina beat Georgia State 59-17

A 5' 10" 220lb white fullback for Georgia State, who was accurately described in the game thread as looking like Frodo Baggins running through the orcs, ran for 150 yards on 12 carries against Auburn.

To say Auburn had a bad outing would be an understatement of EPIC proportions.

Auburn played with no emotion, which is very disappointing this early in Harsin's tenure. I don't know how good Ga State is but they had a great game plan. They stacked the box and took away the run and dared Nix to beat them. Of course he couldn't. Ga State dominated both sides of the line of scrimmage. Auburn was very lucky to win.
