I wouldn’t be surprised if homeless have started moving into Neyland Stadium.

I bet when Franklin was at Vandy it was fine.

Wrong. The stadium is so small that the press box is almost as long as the home stands. It's an oversized high school stadium.

He's right, you know. I probably watch fewer MS State games than any other SEC team, because the sound is atrocious. Then you have the fact that it is some kind of built in advantage the SEC lets you have. Just once, I'd love to see another fanbase bring cowbells and see what happens.

South Carolina when they're riled up is a sight to behold. One of the craziest environments out there.

It always means a lot to hear this. We dont put a lot of good football teams out there, but we do try to have a good enviornment.

UGA is pretty nuts too. its why I think the UGA/USC game is more of a "rivalry" that it gets credit for. its a crazy atmosphere

I bet State fans are all tore up that Beer Showers U fans aren't watching their games on TV.

Yes, it just breaks my heart lol. It’s a good thing they have their little beer showers though because it distracts them from throwing whiskey bottles on the field. They used to do that all the time whenever they lost or got a flag etc.

Vandy is a great environment, not a bad seat in the house and no home fans to deal with.

Its like a vrbo for college football.

It helps that both teams tend to play early in the season when each are still figuring things out. Levels the playing field a bit (and of course the fanbases aren’t terribly friendly toward one another in the general sense)

Also Miss State has to be the worst just based on cowbells alone.

I have to agree. Even watching one of their games on TV, I have to hit mute. The artificial noisemakers are too damn annoying, and rank on up there with The Whistler.

I was there in 2015 and barely heard them. The overall experience was pretty blah.

You know how you fix the cowbells, right?

This is true. I was there for Thursday opening night in 2013 when South Carolina came in with Marcus Lattimore, Connor Shaw, and Jadaveon Clowney. The place was packed with almost all Vandy fans in black, and it was an awesome environment.

That is what I would expect. We went a few years back and it was cold and windy. Those metal benches were cold. Not a great atmosphere but I would think it could be... just like anywhere else.

If anything, this is a complement regarding our atmosphere. It's always hilarious to me when people talk shite about Cowbells and expect us to be angered by it. I remember having LSU friends come to Starkville for a games against other SEC opponents and you couldn't pry the cowbell from their hands. In my experience, people only hate them when you are playing their team.

I think what people hate is that you get a special exception to the artificial noise making rule.

Nope. Watching any State home game, it's just annoying. It doesn't matter who the opponent is. It just takes away from watching the game due to just it being annoying hearing cowbells ringing throughout. I can see State fans liking it (because, it's what you guys do), but anyone else - it distracts from the game. It could be cowbells, airhorns, vuvuzelas, etc... Just annoying to hear it constantly. Makes your home games unwatchable.

Yup, unless there is a compelling reason otherwise, I usually turn the channel when MSU is playing at home.
