Their campus is pretty in the fall. Their stadium sucks

I like the old school stadium experience. IMO that is college football.

One of the problems they are going to have to deal with is that any renovation is going to require a substantial teardown. They reached 100k and basically maxed out expansion possibilities in the '90s. Since then college stadiums have changed significantly.

They could take a cue from A&M but I like their stadium whereas A&M's old stadium was a mess. (Their new one is an architectural mess as well but that is another matter.)

Yup, unless there is a compelling reason otherwise, I usually turn the channel when MSU is playing at home.

Sure dude, I’m really sure you try and watch our games.

Also, get educated on shite before you post about us getting an advantage. They only ring after the play is over. People who say otherwise either lie or just go with what someone else said but thanks for your interest

Cowbells are an acquired taste for sure. And some of the TV experience depends on how ESPN handles their crowd mics. I don't know what exactly was going on Saturday night, but I watched the replay of the game yesterday and the cowbells were especially loud on TV for whatever reason. I was in the stadium on Saturday and it was certainly a good atmosphere but I don't remember the cowbells being as insanely loud as they sounded on the TV broadcast.

Davis Wade is one of those places where there is usually not much in between, it's either a really great atmosphere or it is totally dead. Most of the Mullen era was a lot of fun, especially for big night games. But then you look back at the Croom era and Year 2 of Moorhead when you'd have LSU and Alabama fans make up 50% of the attendance when their teams came to twon and those were pretty dull days.

That was probably me, and although it sucks, I have watched State play on tv. You do know that people ringing cowbells while play is happening don't become invisible on tv, right? And further you don't have to waive them in the air to be ringing them either, but people can still see it.

Do you think the SEC would allow us to bring in vuvuzelas if we pinky swear not to make noise with them during play?

South Carolina when they're riled up is a sight to behold. One of the craziest environments out there.
They are similar to Arkansas in their fan support and passion. I don't like their stadium though. Looks like a 1970s NFL stadium. Would be WAY better if they ever bowl it in or build a new stadium.

Both Mississippi schools stadiums shite on yours, and , yes, Ive been to all 3.

The SC fans in 2012 when UGA came to town were rabid. They were out of their minds that night.

Mizzou needs to do away with the argyle endzones and I think they'll be ok.

I mean I know you guys like to crap on us and all, but you aren’t this dumb are you? Their stadium is like 40,000 and they probably draw 25-30,000. They drew 22,000 to their first game.
Look, I mean this with all my heart-

Mizzou is by far the worst fan experience in the SEC, and the only thing that comes close is cowbell. With James Franklin Vandy's stadium was slightly better than the mississippis and yours. It was quaint but rocking, something that never happens in columbia.

Maybe if you still played Kansas- thats the only time I ever saw a Mizzou crowd that impressed me.

Now, in BASEBALL< Vandy is hands down the worst bc the whistling counts.

MUCH better than Mizzou.

Mizzou would rather have a retarded rock m than a real stadium.

If anything, this is a complement regarding our atmosphere. It's always hilarious to me when people talk shite about Cowbells and expect us to be angered by it. I remember having LSU friends come to Starkville for a games against other SEC opponents and you couldn't pry the cowbell from their hands. In my experience, people only hate them when you are playing their team.
Dude first of all its worst than vuvuzelas. WORSE>

Secondly, you ALWAYS break the rules about ringing them when the opposing QB is under center whenever you feel any stress in a game. Cheating counts.
I will NEVER go there again. Place is migraine inducing even when they lose by 20.

I didn’t say anything about getting an advantage and I am aware that your fans follow the rules which is the only reason you are allowed to use cowbells to begin with.

What I said is that they were given special permission to use artificial noise makers and that irks some.
