Herschel had 9 years in the nfl more productive than Bo's best. And that ignores the USFL. Herschel's 3 seasons blows Bo's 4 collegiate seasons out of the water as well.

A little OT, but In 1989, Bo Jackson had 32 home runs and 105 RBI and then averaged 5.5 yards per carry that fall in the NFL. Damn that’s stout.

I am a big fan of Walker, the athlete, the man, and I think he is a great American. My instinct is to pick him over everybody, but Bo Jackson. In my opinion Jackson is the best football player and athlete I have ever seen.

Well, one put his team on his back and carried them to a national title as a freshman.

Bo played in Dye's wishbone. If he would have been the feature back in the I from day one, it wouldn't have been a contest. I watched the first game out of the I and Bo had 240 yards at halftime.
