No disrespect to Hershel but Bo Jackson by a good margin. It’s like comparing Earl Campbell to George Rogers. They may have seemed similar to some at one point but they’re not that close in reality.

They are both great but Bo is more the Percy Harvin type. Supremely gifted athlete, always dinged up though. Herschel is more like a Derrick Henry type who can carry the ball a million times and keep on chugging.

Bo was great, but he usually didn't have great games against Florida. Only playing well in his sophomore game.

Freshman - 23 yds
Sophomore - 196 yds
Junior - 16 yds
Senior - 48 yds

Herschel killed us to death.

Freshman - 237 yds
Sophomore - 192 yds
Junior - 219 yds

He also scored 8 TD's in 3 games. By the way his number of carries in those 3 games were 37, 47, and 35.

I couldn't honestly pick one. Bo was an excellent pro baseball player, too, but Herschel was an Olympic bobsledder and a very good MMA fighter.
Herschel may have been the best conditioned athlete on his time.

They're both among the GOAT in the SEC at RB, but it's Herschel Walker and it's really not close here.

If you said Bo, you didn't watch them play. It's Herschel and NOT even close.

Ironically, both are Bo's. Bo was Herschel's nickname as well.

I love Bo, but I don’t think I’m being a homer to pick Walker

5,259 yards and 49 touchdowns in just 33 games (3 years no bowl or playoff stats). Still the SEC all time rush leader.

This is a subject that’s never been brought up before. It’s a decently close contest, but it’s Herschel > Bo in nearly every subjective study, then and now.

Herschel was a stud in track and field. Consistently coming in 2nd place behind Carl Lewis in sprints at meets. Herschel finished 7th place in ncaa nationals... at 220 pounds. 1st place still being Carl Lewis.

Bo. Dude was a freak. Greatest natural athlete I’ve ever seen. Watched him at the state indoor track championship at the old track in Montgomery in 80 or 81. Won the long jump then 5 minutes later won the 60 yd dash. He was fvkn Tarzan.
