I post dumb shite...but true shite. It’s just dumb to you because you don’t like it. Which is why you resort to that kind of comment rather than refuting it with anything relevant.

Player development is a huge issue for Smart. Isnt it true that he has managed to not produce a single 1st team all american with all of this talent? He wins the star battle but it appears as though they don’t go beyond their abilities at that point. They make it the NFL because they are talented. There is also a reason why UGA kids seem to do flourish in the NFL. It has nothing to do with Kirby developing them, but rather they are finally getting solid coaching under a real coaching staff in the NFL. Pretty sure UGA just had a DL or LB transfer out because he and his dad weren’t happy with the rotations and feel he wasn’t getting the development he could be getting elsewhere.

I believe Kirby is a good coach. He's hard working, and is headed in the right direction. Has he made some bone headed mistakes along the way, big Yes, but haven't we all? That's the learning curve. All the big name coaches done something stupid before they hit their stride. Life is about Trial and Error.

And the dawgs have been coming out of the East. That can't be overlooked. The East is essentially a different conference to negotiate.

What would be the "honest" consensus of Kirby's skills if he had to actually find his way out of the West every year? I think this current narrative changes dramatically.

No, don’t flatter yourself. Why should I waste too much time with a drive by trash talking techie who doesn’t understand football well and always runs when I refute their BS?

Your history of running from my refutations led me to simply call you out as I did ITT, which is not coincidentally the one time you reply. You have zero substance.

But since you insist, prove to me that roquan smith and deandre baker were not 1st team all Americans.

The irony of this post is thay kirby was right to go for it on 4th down.

Hurts sliced through the defense like butter. Scored on a 20 yard draw play.

Give the ball back to bama : lose

The playcall (fake) can be argued in a 4th and 7-8 situation. But punting was admitting defeat.

Then stay in offensive formation and I'm with you. 4th and 11 and BAMA is in a defense safe look. They expected you to do this and they were prepared. Kirby saw the defensive look and didn't adjust. You weren't going to surprise BAMA so what's the point? Give your team a fighting chance and run your offense at least.

This same point has been covered a billion times but Bama gave the exact look UGA was looking for when everyone got lined up. UGA was running the same fake they ran in the 2012 SEC Championship Game where a player who appeared to be an in line blocker was actually eligible and would’ve been open. Fields was slow to snap the ball and Bama adjusted and recognized the eligible receiver and got it covered.

Hindsight is obviously 20/20 and I’d have preferred not using Fields in that situation if they were going to run a fake, but I don’t hate the idea of the play, just the execution.

If I'm remembering correctly, they were supposed to punt but Fields audibled and it blew up in our face. They should have chosen a less obvious fake punt or just kept the offense on the field like you are saying and gone for it. It was a boneheaded decision either way.

Kirby panicked and he didn't trust what he had been leaning on and playing to his entire coaching life. His defense. The irony.

Bama was surprised. They initially lined up the way UGA expected them to. But the snap was slow and bama adjusted. Poor execution by a true freshman.

As a tactician, kirby was correct. It should be obvious to anyone who 1) watched the game 2) followed the dawgs all season (gave up 10 rushing TDs to QBs. Linebackers were inexperienced after roquan left. Huge vulnerability all year).

As a playcaller, it was the wrong call (although it is easy to see the design of it with 2012 and with a 5 star QB being asked to make a throw. Swift vs a linebacker in man? Advantage swift... even if bama knew a fake was coming).
