You in a jet baw? It’s about 60 miles away. We call the Ft Smith area the River Valley, not northwest Arkansas.

I kind of include it with NWA since it’s like 20 min from Fayetteville

I drive that stretch pretty often and it's closer to an hour.

Gorgeous area though.

NW 1/2 of Arkansas = beautiful, full of opportunity and wealth....SE 1/2 of Arkansas is just NW Mississippi, worthless and full of dumbassery. You can draw a line with US 67. You're next Kentucky!

KY has the gold depository so more money than the Waltons and the Tri Cites (Lex / LOU / CIN) means lots of distance for AR to they and keep up with. You may have Was Mart but we have all the bourbon.

The top half of the state is definitely not full of opportunity, the northwestern most two counties very much are though. A LOT of northern Arkansas hasn’t changed a bit in 50 years.

NWA is nice, but I like my Ocean Springs laid back feel.

Jackson, Gulfport, Biloxi, Tupelo, and Hattiesburg, all of which are pretty little.

Little Rock is comparable to Jackson in metro population and the MS gulf coast has just over 400k pop. DeSoto County in Memphis area has 185K which makes it the second most populated county in the state. Hattiesburg area is the 4th largest metro in MS.

Some areas do have people from both Lousiana and Mississippi that have moved in.

I’d go back to being the smallest if we didn’t have all these Texas Beta O’Rourke voter kids

Northeast Arkansas is getting some out of state but not as much as NWA.

If the Little Rock metro actually cared a bout football then it would help the state.

Arkansas apparently added 100k people. Probably 95k of those moved to NWA.

Mississippi lost population.

Northeast MS is pretty nice too

Northeast MS is where the Appalachian foothills actually start. Pickwick Lake and Tishomingo county remind me a little of north central Arkansas area.

You people are so amazed to have a part of your state that doesn't suck.
