I don't ever want to see Texas in the SEC. Anyone that knows them, can't stand to be around them. They would want to run things right off the bat and this conference has never worked like that

Until the league moves HQ away from Birmingham, you cannot convince me otherwise. Bama is the UT of this conference. Only difference is that they win.

Would love to get VT and NC State, but I thought the ACC put up some huge barriers to prevent it (and I think State legislators might mess it up also).

But in a perfect world, those two would be good additions.

North Carolina or Duke and it's not even close.

I lived in NC forever and believe me, we don't want either one of those prim donna schools in the SEC. Culturally, NC State makes the most sense.

I'd invite texas, then when they said "ok" I'd say "nope" and pull back my hand on the handshake, while slicking my hair back with the same hand, but that's just me.

Still salty about yesterday, huh?

We've been over this: your best seasons are bad seasons to us. You practically proved it yourself yesterday

I have been saying Duke/UNC for years.

It gives you a new footprint of a pretty good size state.

It elevates the basketball level of the SEC big time.

It adds respectable football teams but not more killers. We have enough of those.

I do think this is all pie-in-the-sky wishing at this point because I think expansion is done for this generation, and the ACC is especially off the table because ESPN isn't going to want us to pirate from the family.

If you set up a pod system where you have a two year rotating division alignment, if done correctly a four year player could play almost every team.

By rotating division I mean Pod A & B and C & D are aligned for two years in a division to play a home and home, and Pod A plays its two other games against teams from C & D. Than after two years rotate to A & C and B & D and so forth. Every six years you complete a home & home against every team in the conference (plus the additional cross division games).

I'm sure you'd have to look at ways of balancing the schedule to make it work, but to me this makes the most sense of trying to have a real conference.

With all that said it will never happen.

Carolina or Virginia teams. Would make basketball season even better, and they have some okay football over there.
