Lost to A State by 63 points (7-70) and is 0-5 this year. And Grant Gunnell who had committed to the Aggies before he walked is their starting QB. It seems it just isn't working out for either of them. Will he get fired and should we feel a little sorry for him?

63 point loss at home.
Last P5 school I saw have that happen to them was...t.u. 66-3 to UCLA in 1997.

On the other hand, Chase Lane is the leading outside WR for a potential playoff team.

Yes to Sumlin getting fired.
And why in the world would anyome feel sorry for Gunnell?

I know money doesn’t buy happiness and all that but no I don’t feel bad for Sumlin

Wait, what happened to that running qb who went crazy the year before he got there?

JFF made him a ton of money didn't he?

Apparently Arizona fired him today.

Well I'm not prescient. It was a very, very bad loss for an 0 and 5 team. Don't know where he goes to pick up the pieces. Yeah, I know, none of you care. Herm broke him.

Sumlin made more money off of JFF's career than JFF made off of his own career.

Is there any way JFF can sue Sumlin for some kind of reparations?

Sumlin owes Johnny, Kliff and Mike Evans.

What about Case Keenum?
Gunnell is a great cautionary tale against committing to a coach instead of a school. Guy lit it up at a smallish Catholic high school, was good enough to get offers from all over the country, and follows a downward spiral coach to a downward spiral program.
Aside from us, he had offers from Ohio State, Alabama, and a ton of others where he would have been in a bigger spotlight. Was Sumlin that magnetic a recruiter, or was it a promise of playing sooner than he would have at a deeper program like Ohio State or Alabama?

Former Arizona players hinting at his rampant alcohol abuse on Twitter.
I still can’t believe Arizona hired him, knowing what they must have discovered during the vetting process in 2017. You can’t expect a coach to be successful with all he had going on in his personal life.
