It'll be someone who's not even on the radar. That's how the Ninja Greg operates.

Dabo looks like he's just trying to get outta Deuce's way in the pic

Former QB? The name sounds familiar but he wasn’t on the official roster in 2015 or 2016.

Not sure I'm a believer in Dabo. I feel like if he were in the SEC, he's probably canned in 4 years. Of course, the exception to that rule would be Alabama since recruiting is his strength and recruiting Alabama is pretty easy so he would probably succeed just fine there.

Before this season they were all about Pruitt... really strange.

Rush Propst will succeed Saban. You heard it here first.

Sexton will be the one that determines who will be coaching Bama
If Sark was a drunk out west, Bama will tip him over the edge

Cristobal
Dabo knows to not follow a legend. Plus when Saban retires that strengthens Clemson and makes it the undeniable top program in the country.

Just give Urban a blank check. Even if he's only at Bama for a few seasons, he has a great coaching tree (Day, Fickell, Mullen, Vrabel, Whittingham) and can groom a good, young coach to succeed him.

How many families will the Crimson Tide Foundation have to support in this scenario?

I'm really not sure how you can say this after what he's turned Clemson into.

Uh...no. We were all about him coming back to Alabama as the DC. As far as head coaches go, I think most of us have our eyes on Mario Cristobal as Saban's potential successor. He recruits well, his teams play physical, and he's relatively young.

Dabo is the obvious choice but maybe it's too obvious.
He's got Clemson going good and Dabo is basically going to go down as the Clemson Bear Bryant/Saban.
At Alabama he'd be forever living in the shadow of Saban. He could even win a national championship or two and he'd still be seen as second fiddle. That's gotta be a big turnoff.
Ideally for Dabo is Alabama hires a coach after Saban who fails and then Dabo comes in after that coach and he's way more appreciated and celebrated.

I don't trust any Alabama fan who doubts Dabo's abilities as a head coach after the last six or seven seasons. He's turned Clemson into a monster program that is currently competing with Alabama for tops in the nation. Two or three years ago I thought he might leave, but the man has cemented himself in the job. He coaches in the ACC, he's got an automatic route essentially to the playoffs, and he's recruiting lights out in a league with no real parity. He'd be crazy to leave.

That's exactly what will happen (see Roy Williams at North Carolina).
