I've been very impressed with Mac Jones. Looks to be a much better version of Mcelroy, Mccaron or Coker. He can actually throw the ball downfield. Which is huge considering how deep Alabama is at WR. This might be a better offense than last year. Defensively not one of their best in the Saban era but looks to be good enough for this year and better than last season.

Georgia seems to be improving offensively and looks to have the best defense in the SEC so far. If they can improve the offense a bit more I think they have a chance to win the SEC.

Florida is my 3rd team. I think they have the 2nd best offense in the SEC but their defense may hold them back from Georgia or Alabama.

Then there seems to be a huge gap from everyone else. Especially in the SEC West where 2-7 looks about even. As far as the East goes we will see this weekend how far behind Tennessee is, but I don't think they are in that conversation rn.

No idea about tOSU or Clemson. A round robin with those 3 would see nobody is 3-0

No clue, won't know until more games against elite teams are played. We're definitely in the conversation.

We'll know more after BAMA plays UGA. Until then, we don't know anything.

I like not having to hold my breath every time a defender gets within six feet of my QB.

I think we are very good. But let’s wait until after the playoffs before we suck our own dicks. We been down that road in 2018.

Haven't seen almost no football outside the SEC but they probably look the best out of all the teams that have played to this point. If they beat UGA they should be consensus #1.

No. The defense is not consistent enough to make that declaration. I do think bama has a higher ceiling that any team in the country, but the D needs to gel better.

I'd like to see some S&M plugging up the 2-4 gaps for next to nothing before I get too comfortable. Nothing gives me the red arse like seeing a RB get 4-6 yards without initial contact.

If we can start shutting down the run with 3/4 bringing pressure, and 2 LBs cleaning up the lanes, there isn't anyone who can keep up with our offense, IMO. That is a very big if, though.

Who knows who has the best team right now? I can tell you Alabama has a lot of work to do to get to championship level, a lot of work.

I would say either them or Florida.

Georgia could be up there, but I don’t trust the QB position.

Alabama and Florida both seem borderline elite at QB.

I don't know, but if they would fire Golding and hire (or promote) a DC would would put some teeth in the defense, the answer would clearly be yes.

Yes they are #1 in my eyes. Is that what you want to hear? Because it means nothing.

No. Mizzou and aTm are not good measures as to how good a team is. Everybody has been saying for years that polls shouldn't come until 4 weeks into a season. Why change that viewpoint now?

I would say they are the best right now. Look better conditioned and Jones has not been a step down from Tua (probably because there is no language barrier issues as the Bama fans feared initially with Tua).

When you can rotate one 5* after the other...you’re in good shape. So, yes. I think they are.
