I don’t remember him being this good at Kentucky. Dude is fun to watch though. He ate Boston alive tonight. Would love to see Miami v Denver in the finals.

I’ve always thought he was a bitch but I’ve started to like him more lately.

I’ll never forget this abomination though:

Dude was only at UK for one year.

Can't blame Wisconsin for being mad at losing him to UK.

Him and Jamal Murray and Bam Adebayo (who was bought and paid for)
Cal has wasted so much talent
He should be on Saban's level with at least 4/5 national titles by now.

I do. Kid was incredible. I remember wondering why the hell he wasn’t drafted before 13. I think he might have been slept on a bit because he is white. I mean his game is admittedly somewhat of an outlier.

I have my issues with Cal, but if Saban only got to keep his 5 stars for their freshman year and then they went to the NFL, I don’ t think he’d have 4 or 5 national titles. They are playing under different rules.

He balled out against Auburn, I was actually hoping the Hawks would take him over Cam Reddish in that draft.

Generally they have a lot more freedom in the NBA, he's one that has developed well at that level from his one year in college. He's a money player for sure. Just like Booker.

One year vs three or four. Not a fair comparison at all.

Oh shut the frick up.

And for the OP, Herro averaged 14 pts, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists as a Freshman. Was the only player on the team to start all 37 games. And was named SEC Rookie of the Year by the AP. He was a lottery pick coming out of college.

Arkansas fans can tell you just how good he can be. He was insanely clutch in that game.

Kid was flipping good. He kicked the shite out of us in our first two matchups last year, shooting at a 50% clip from three and scoring 17 and 20.

Found a matchup that worked and Samir locked him down in the Elite Eight game, thankfully.

I don't think Saban would just recruit one and dones to the degree Cal has. A lot of folks predicted the constant turnover would be an issue.

Is that why Saban recruits so many 3 and 4 stars he can develop?

You recruit the best players you can. If the NFL didn't have the 3 year rule every SEC school would be a swinging door.

He did quite well at UK but it took him a good half season to get up to potential consistently.

FYI Anthony Davis was like the 5th leading scorer on his UK team. He did however still win the Wooden Award
