re: North Carolina reportedly exploring move from the ACC to the SEC…

Best idea I’ve heard yet. UNC probably thinks they’ll come in and run the league in basketball. Arkansas thought the same thing in the early 90’s after dominating the SWC. Big Blue put them in their place then, but now blue has a lot of help. There is only Duke to overcome in the ACC, in the SEC, thete is a mountain of wood to choose from now!

I wouldn’t bet against it. Clemson has big time athletes on special teams, he dusted them like they were sitting still. His speed is on another level.

Barion Brown wasn’t listed on the Ourlads depth chart. From a guy that’s watched him. Nobody kicks to him and if they do, it’s a 50/50 shot it will be a house call. His speed is on another level and it will be malpractice if Brian Kelly doesn’t put him back there. Ask Clemson and Ole Miss fans about him.
You could argue the SEC has the greatest historical programs in all 3 major sports.

It is and we think the Cats are pretty salty and are proud of it. On the flip side, I’ve heard how much this board dislikes Calipari over the last 15 years and was hoping you guys would let me join that club
This is a spectacular response off the cuff

Dart better get the ball out fast Saturday. He won’t have much time with those 2 edge rushers. We weren’t prepared and they wrecked us.

Good point, and too add to it, the CFP rankings are all that matters and they’ve proven they don’t pay attention to the AP or coaches polls
Question to Georgia and Ole Miss
Posted by Ramsey Rocket on 9/30/24 at 10:11 pm
The AP poll came out and we were 10 spots away from being ranked in the others receiving votes category. Starting at #21 here are some of the teams ranked ahead of us. Boise State, Louisville, Indiana, Illinois, UNLV, Arizona, Pittsburgh, Boston College, Nebraska, James Madison, Oklahoma State and Rutgers. Do you think all of these teams could play Georgia to a 1 point game and win on the road in Oxford? I know we had the South Carolina debacle that penalizes us, but come on!
I respect the rant’s knowledge

mor than any expert out there. So, I only have 1 question. What will happen in 2 weeks when we facw Ole Miss. Are we going to get smoked because we can’t score? Or is that defense that matched UGA’s physicality at the li e if scrimmage going to show up and give us a chance?

That’s correct, South Carolina might have better edge rushers than anyone in the country.

That’s fair, but still disappointing because we have more talent at receiver than running back, but our o-line is great at run blocking and terrible at pass blocking.
Doubt Georgia at your own peril.

People think they suck because of the South Carolina result against UK. I think you’re going to find out that was an outlier. UK just got wrecked by SC’s edge rushers, the best tandem in the country. Bama fans are going into this game extremely confident but I think UK might be better than anyone thinks.
re: The Truth About Georgia AT Kentucky
Posted by Ramsey Rocket on 9/16/24 at 1:45 am to tOGLettuce
I really think it comes down to matchups. Kentucky is big and strong at the line of scrimmage, but not very fast and athletic. We have a terrible time blocking athletes like Dylan Stewart, but if you want to get in a phone booth and bully us, we’re ready for that. Deone Waler is a 350 monster and probably a top 5 NFL draft pick and he held up really well.
What a sport, the best there is!

We are 3 games into the football season and have blown out Southern Miss, been destroyed by South Carolina and took the seemingly invincible Georgia Bulldogs to their limit. I have no clue if we are good or terrible and that’s what makes it so interesting.

He was 74-66, but they took 10 wins away in 2022 for playing Chris Rodriguez that was given a Cush job and salary by UK Hospital, but never showed up for work.

Very astute analysis. I completely agree.

Jon Sumrall at Tulane is an alumni and the obvious choice. He killed it at Troy and is a high energy guy that recruits very well. Stoops has elevated our program, but to be honest, he’s getting paid close to 9 million a year and I think he’s lost his edge.
