I’ve had a few:
I love this damn country. Thick and thin. I fought for her and I would do it again over and over.
That’s all. God bless you all and this great nation.

Thank you for your service. I was an only child and my mom was a widow, but I sure wanted to serve like my grandfather did. I didn’t, because of my home responsibilities, but I sure as hell regret it. I’ve always admired the men and women that make the sacrifices to serve. Thank you all

I love this country but I don’t love what it’s become. Growing up in the 80’s was much simpler and better time.

I love this country too. I just hate what the extreme left on twitter and in the media are turning it into. The ones that begged for tolerance all these years have become the intolerant ones

I did not serve . Very patriotic . I tell my students at school, I think it is the most honorable thing a person can do. Thanks to all who serve and have served . God Bless America

Did you really though? This isn't me questioning if you served, but did you really serve America or our leaders fricked up interests?

God, Family, Country! Love'em all! I was handicapped from the jump. Talked to a recruiter my senior year in hs. He made it clear, i couldn't serve.
A Tip-O-The-Hat to all my family and friends that have served and to all those I will never know. Thank You!
GOD BLESS AMERICA, AGAIN!

That’s a good question so no one flame this man.
I felt like I always did the right thing. Never ordered anyone to do anything outside the lines. I didn’t want that sense of regret later in life or at worst go to prison. I was in special operations in the Army and then the DEA for a time. The DEA was another animal, the un winnable war as it was called. I feel like I/we made no impact. The only time I ever felt good was on a human trafficking task force. That was an amazing feeling, setting someone free.
So I guess von Clausewitz was correct, war is the continuation of politics by other means.

The people downvoting this thread are human scum... This man served our country!!! Regardless of how you feel about the swamp in Washington, this is still the greatest country to love in... Don't believe me, go spend about a month in Iraq or North Korea...

I've never really understood this point of view. We elect our leaders and are therefore somewhat responsible for their actions, good or bad. If a person signs up for the military, they are signing up to serve the country, regardless of what our leaders send them to do.

It was before all the mass misinformation and echo chambers that came with the internet.
The internet bred the culture of partisan magnetism. Now, nobody is seen as American or patriotic unless they're "on my side"
Regarding Boz/service... look no further than the oath most public servants take. Swearing to protect to defend the constitution from enemies both foreign and domestic.

DEA? Did you get to visit FLETC?
Thanks for your service.

Yep.
The people of China, North Korea, etc. serve their leaders. We pick our leaders. If we don’t like the choices they make the person to blame is the one you see when you are shaving in the morning.

I did. Although the DEA academy is the back bastard building of the FBI spread in Quantico I did have some follow on and advanced training there in GA.

I just want to know how many in this thread are going to be symbolically marching with coach Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide tomorrow?

Not me. I respect a persons right to do it but I feel like the whole “Cops only targeting Black people” is a bullshite narrative we are being fed. Statiscally more unarmed whites and Hispanics are killed by cops every year than blacks. Theyre MILLIONS of interactions every year between cops and unarmed citizens and only about 30 end up in the unarmed civilian getting killed.....about 10 of those being black.

If you have the opportunity to buy either a Volkswagen Beetle or a Ford Pinto, doesn't mean you are about to win the Indianapolis 500.

One of our choices is one of the best presidents we've ever had. The other has been in government for almost 5 decades and has nothing to show for it.
ETA: It couldn't be a clearer contrast if we tried.
