Are you really? And you live in B'ham? Wow, that's something.

Center Point. Look it up. It’s dangerous, but I’m happy here. If you truly care about kids of color, then these are the best places to live. You can make a difference

Center Point, Tarrant, Roebuck, Hewitt-Trussville, Irondale? Been there, done that.

Center Point isn’t the Center Point of old, but it’s home.

Friend of mine at work lived in CP. Moved to Gardendale. He told he had to get his family outta there.

The union local I was in also moved out from there.

I wanted to move at one time, and I don’t blame anyone who did, but I just feel like I can make a little bit of a difference if I stay.

Saban seemed to try to straddle the fence with the “All Lives Matter” and “Black Lives Matter” movements. NBA player Jared Dudley even went as far as to say the team captains need to call a meeting and force Saban to hold a press conference before Week 1 on Sept. 26

Jared Dudley @JaredDudley619 · 2h Team captains need to have a meeting with the team! No more letting things slide... Can’t straddle the fence in this issue.. Need Saban to have a press conference before the game or there will be no game...

My family has owned and operated a Boot and Shoe store in Bham area since 1918. Since the 60s, it was located in Center Point at the Roebuck Shopping Plaza. My uncle finally had to move it about 10 years ago, as the crime in the area and diminshing patrol presence affected customers and his and his families safety working at that location.

Very sad, I had lots of great memories at that store location as a kid helping my grandparents over the summers.

Marcus Spears is who led the charge on Saban.

Where did you see this?

ETA: if you are talking about the “Marc J Spears” guy on twitter, that is not the Marcus Spears who played for Nick Saban.
