Chad Morris stats at Arkansas: -4-18 overall record, 0-14
SEC
-33 scholarship transfers
-outscored 779-483
-allowed avg of 35 points per game
-lost by an avg of 21 points per game

Holy cow!!! That's like 40% of the Roster!

This has to be one of the biggest reasons to fire him. 33 scholarship transfers in two seasons! That kills depth, kills future leadership, and dampens any optimism for future growth and improvement. It is one thing to take the losses and say that you will get better, but how can you get better if you can't keep the players you can recruit?
The 33 number would have to be the most glaring and impactful number on that list of mindblowing numbers.

Maybe Bret will win, maybe he has to pay Arkansas back; hell , maybe they come to some agreement and end it early with a negotiated settlement like Les Miles did with LSU.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens. But I still think the optics of the situation aren't exactly favorable for Arkansas.

If it goes to trail, it will be in Washington County Arkansas. Guess where the University of Arkansas is located?

In any event, IMHO that sue for the 4.3 mill repayment is just leverage to make him go away. Go to trail. Bert has also publicly stated on TV that he doesn't ever think he will coach the college game again, and has been unable to provide real evidence that he has been seeking similar employment as required.

In the end, it will likely be settled out of court, and Bert is likely to get little or nothing. Without strong evidence in his favor (which he was required to provide anyway under the terms of buyout), he is paying his priced lawyers for little to no gain. To use a quote from a movie, there is no winning, only degrees of losing.

Now how that impacts the UA coaching search is another question that remains to be seen.

i would throw the bank at the guy from kansas state before i would leach. That dude is taking a slaw roster and competing with the big 12's best. He probably wont be a killer recruiter initially but if he can do decent with the current roster that will work itself out.
