Who is the biggest bust recruit in SEC in last 20 years or so?

Highly touted high school superstar who not only failed to live up to hype, but was outright bad/absent on the field?

A&M has a couple of 5 Star QBs who were pretty bad. Both transferred out. One ended up winning some stupid trophy.

Trent Fournette or Leonard Richardson

Bryce Brown came to Tennessee with a ton of hype, much of it self-created.
Never did anything of note on the field and tranferred.

John Brantley sucked although not all his fault. He did show flashes under Weis his last year but then got hurt.

Tyler Love and BJ Scott are the big ones for Alabama.

UK QB Morgan Newton was a 4-star coming out of HS and Mr. Indiana.

Florida QB Driskell was highly recruited and he was a bust

If things don't go right in Columbus, Justin Fields.
Afraid his head needs to be shrunk to make it as a college QB with the massive pressure on him.

He played pretty well at LA Tech after he transferred.

Was more of the coaching for him. He's an NFL QB

Justin Fields.
Very unfair to include him at this point. Dude probably hasn’t turned 20 yet.

He was eventually picked up by the New York Giants... As a tight end. Unfortunately he didn't survive camp cuts.

There was a 5* LB from the Midwest that came to LSU and never amounted to much. Can’t remember his name. Anthony Johnson was pretty disappointing.

Ronald Powell. Pretty sure he was #1 overall and never did much. Drafted in the 7th round on potential and didn’t make it past preseason I don’t think. One of those weird California prospect bust.

Hell. Matt Stafford played his last college snap at 20 years old.
