Dorial Green Beckham, who found it impossible to say out of trouble, was a great bust----but so was Bryce Brown, whose
laid-back, passive and dis-interest approach to the game seemed to be his biggest problem.
Came out of Kansas with a "handler", as a hugely-hyped 5-star running back & #1 recruit in the country---committed to Tennessee 2009---leaves Dooley and UT during spring training for Kansas State after playing backup running back his freshman year at UT---sat out a year, then left K-State early in the season in 2011---in 2012 enters the NFL draft, where he was finally picked up in the 7th round at 229th--bounced around for a few years, then washed out.

Is miss Delaware still alive?
doin well last I heard. The "porn" was a single private video for cash to to enter the Ms Delaware pageant, she was an 18 foster child with no resources and made a bad decision/didnt read the fine print on the contract.
She actually turned down a $200k contract for a set of scenes after everything went viral. Porn career was never the motivation.

Justin Fields.
Very unfair to include him at this point. Dude probably hasn’t turned 20 yet.
How about hoping he busts because of his lack of character when lying for immediate eligibility?

Brent Schaeffer’s biggest issue was that he signed with two teams who had no idea how to use him. Ole Miss moved to a spreadish offense for his last game or two and he was much more productive.

Is it Russell Sheppard that was a big time recruit, failed at LSU, but made it on an NFL team?
Yeah, I was about to list him. He was recruited as a QB, was chased by Texas, USC, Michigan, and Florida in addition to LSU. Was considered the #3 athlete that class, and he was alongside Matt Barkley as the top QB that year.
Coming in, we thought he was probably going to start game one.
I don't think he EVER saw the field as a QB. Caught on in the NFL as a WR/special teams guy.

Kid fell in love with the idea of being a QB, it was never gonna happen. He's collecting NFL pension if he goes WR from the go.

Was the first one who came to mind for me as well

Alot of fans will disagree with me on this but Trent Thompson for UGA was a pretty big bust.
He had one decent season, then got addicted to opioids or something similar after a surgery and was never the same player.
He had loads of potential, was the #1 rated recruit in GA and maybe the country IIRC. Problem was he wasn't motivated to be the best and would not put in the extra work which is demonstrated when the draft came. He should not have left early but even if he would have stayed another year he probably wouldn't have improved all that much.

That was a shitty move, but it doesn’t change the validity of my post.

For Lsu it has to be Cecil Collins. One of the greatest disappointments of LSU.

Byron Cowart would have to be included.. One of the top recruits in the nation, never did anything at AU.

Nice.
I was genuinely curious.

Rare 5* commit for State, Quay Evans, kind of played a limited amount one season due to poor conditioning before being kicked off the team. After floating around Starkville for a few years and stalking a friend of mine, he went back home and murdered a guy and is now serving life in prison.
Other option: Renardo Sidney. Suspended for 1.5 years coming in due to recruiting improprieties, fought a teammate in the stands on National tv, and was then kicked off the team. Cause Stansbury to lose his job.

Mitch Mustain was a complete and utter failure for Arkansas and USC. He was the #9 player in his class.
