We have absolutely ZERO quality wins. Every ranked team we have faced (other that Washington who is now unranked) has beaten us.
1-5 versus ranked teams. And as I said, Washington isn't a quality win now.
I'm feeling pessimistic.

We played to the final possessions vs UK, Duke full strength, LSU and NCST. 3 of those 4 games were neutral/road too.
Our only chance to go far in the NCAAT is if role players start hitting open shots though

I’d argue we have 6-7 quality wins.
There are 347 division 1 basketball teams. We are better than somewhere between 320-325 of them, and it seems like we are improving. So, needless to say, we are good and this is a great season for us.

when we are good, we are really good.
when we are bad, we aren't very good.
We are Auburn!

Someone should start an ongoing basketball thread so we can discuss these things

Way better than anything Barbee put on the court.

Good enough to compete with the best for the most part. Are they good enough to win anything meaningful in March? Not sure yet
But damn sure glad we get to find out instead of resigning ourselves to watching team lose on Wednesday next week & be done with the season

You act like we are ranked in the top 10 and are a projected 1-2 seed

Probably still a top 10 all time AU team.

Our basketball is great for Auburn standards. Going to the dance two years in a row is fantastic. I watched the team through the end of Ellis all the way through Barbee. This is great compared to that garbage shite we all had to endure. Pearl has done an excellent job, and I just hope we can keep him here.

Were an elite 8 team if we can hit our 3s. Out first round if we can’t. If we get on a little roll and the ball bounces in our favor we could absolutely make a run. If the bracket is like what lunardi has right now I could absolutely see us in the elite 8 beating Minnesota, Houston and Michigan matching up with Gonzaga/FSU with a trip to the final 4 on the line.

What are your expectations? My expectations with Pearl coming in was to be a consistent tournament team and be in the top half of the SEC. And some years contend for the SEC.
Last year's team went far over expectations for the regular season, especially for us to be sitting 2 scholarship players the whole season. That made this year's expectations lofty and made most people believe we would be a top 10 team.
Have we underperformed this year? Yeah, we have. The Ole Miss games, South Carolina game, and Kentucky on the road were not great games. This team has shown that they can be a competitor against good teams, they just have to find a way to win.
We we're 13-5 in the SEC last year. We're currently 10-7 with one more game. If Auburn has double digits SEC wins every year, I can be happy with that.

I wouldn't be surprised if we went to the Final 4 and I wouldn't be surprised if we lost by 30 in the first round.

we are as good as whatever game we are currently in. There is no predicting with this team. If the shots are falling, we can beat literally anyone. If they aren't, we could also lose to literally anyone. Just enjoy the ride and let's send the seniors out with a BANG

Does this qualify as a quality win? Not sure looking forward to your input.
