Pine Bluff AR is the worse it's not even close.

In recent years I've found Mobile Alabama to be up there tho.

Not sure how this compares to some of the other places mentioned but if for some reason you want your soul crushed try driving, by yourself, from Albany Ga to Blakeley Ga on SR 62.

It's an awful, boring drive

Jackson(MS), Montgomery, Albany, West Memphis arkansas, meridian, Birmingham, Auburn, anywhere in Texas that isn't part of a lake.

Louisiana doesn't count because it is a different country. they don't speak english and they eat river rat.

Start North of Baton Rouge and go North, all the way through Memphis, staying on the East Side of the Mississippi River. 90% chance that any decent sized town you encounter will qualify for 'Worst'

Put another way, simply pull up the Red/Blue 2016 Election Map---you'll find an isolated blue cone that extends upward along the lower Mississippi.

How did this thread get to 4 pages? The answer is simple: ANY PLACE IN THIS GREEN AREA

I grew up there. It's not like anything else in the US, except maybe the Native American counties in SD.

If we're just talking about the shittiest large towns/cities in the SEC footprint, it's pretty easy IMO

Jackson
Montgomery
Memphis

Memphis admittedly has more redeeming qualities than the other two, but it's similarly hopeless.

That's not surprising at all.
