Way overpriced for less than stellar food. Great ambiance, though.

It's definitely up there. New Orleans and Atlanta have several that have Beard Awards and famous chefs as well, I assume.

I’d be willing to bet there are several restaurants in New Orleans that are better.

Well yea, they won the James Beard Award for Best Restaurant in America this year.

In the food industry that's the equivalent of winning the Oscar for Best Picture

Commanders Palace and Bern's Steakhouse would be my winners though I have had a good meal at the Highlands.

No way, lived in Bham for 8 years. It’s not even the best restaurant in Bham.

Make a top 10 list of New Orleans restaurants and at least 8 of those would be on the SEC top 10 list.

I have to admit. I wasn't really that impressed with Highland Bar and Grill. The food was only so so.

Arguing about subjective things is dumb, how about we just eat at all the places nominated and enjoy the hell out of it.

I asked about oysters in nawlins and folks said u gotta hit acme. Said go to gw fins for the best seafood in the world.

I'd take the original oyster house in gulf shores over either. LA food is the most overrated this side of France.
