Clemson is overrated

They very easily could have lose to the 4th/5th best team in the SEC West. They get to play the 3rd best team in the East (8th overall in the SEC) at the end of the season. The top 5 teams in the SEC could win all of the games on the Clemson schedule including the ACC Championship.
Bring back the BCS computers to determine the playoff teams. No way the ACC, PAC 10, Big 10, Big 12 contenders could come close to sniffing the SEC Championship game.
Require all power 5’s to play only power 5 teams to qualify for a potential playoff berth.

Won’t matter what you rank them, they will roll the ACC, so they will be top 4 by the end of it.

Agreed.
And that all world, all first round NFL front four is not. hell, I saw that last year. We had no problem blocking those guys. How much did A&M pick up on those guys? I thought even last year Auburn front was a much bigger challenge. Much bigger.

I don’t think Clemson is the second best team, but they are probably top 5-6 in the country. Their offense is a work in progress with rotating Lawrence and Bryant and will get better as the season goes on as Lawrence gets more snaps.
One thing Clemson did do is withstand the initial punches that aTm threw at them, when aTm came out hitting on all cylinders, and then built a big lead in a hostile road condition and in horrible weather conditions. Clemson then did what they always seem to do once they get a 2-3 score lead - go ultra conservative on O and let the D try to preserve the win.
Bottom line, they got outplayed on the road, in front of 100k in horrible weather, yet still came out with the W.
As far as the Clemson DL, I will say, aTm did a great job of blocking, but there were also tons of blatant holding no calls that resulted in many of aTms big plays downfield.

Just like Clemson’s secondary got away with holding all night with A&M’s receivers
