They could be 1-5 going into the Baylor game.

That’s what I mean! People aren’t looking at their schedule in light of this loss. This loss, by itself, has them absolutely irate and totally doubting him. But they’re about to go on a 1-5 run here. Add in Jimbo’s recruiting and I’m not exaggerating when I say they may fire him after THIS season, not next. That’s bad for us, because they may somehow luck out and get someone competent.

But who? They are delusional - and after the Jimbo hire, they would settle for nothing less than Dabo or Saban - and I can’t see any reason either would go there.

He's not black. They'll keep him for four years minimum.

I expect Chris Del Conte to go after Gary Patterson.

Ehlinger seems to have no sense of ball security at all in crunch time. I'm not sure what he thinks he is seeing then. How many times does he have to do this to them before they realize this isn't going away?

What's baffling to me is the psychological hold he has (had?) on their staff and fanbase. They love this guy, apparently because he is from Austin and has Texas Exes in his family, back breaking interceptions be damned. It wouldn't make a damn bit of difference to me if the A&M QB came from Bryan and some good Ags for relatives, but turned it over like that. But it does to these guys, it's crazy.

They just spent $10M buying out Strong, I don't think they cut another check for almost $20M two years later to fire this new staff.

Jimbo should be fired.

Don’t underestimate the power of fear. They’re starting to become afraid that they’re going to get stuck like this permanently - OU is blowing people up, the SEC is raiding Texas, A&M hired Jimbo and is beating them in recruiting, and they’re losing to Maryland, repeatedly. If Del Conte convinces the big boys that he knows from first-hand experience that Gary Patterson is a sure-fire fix for what ails them in terms of real coaching, I think that in desperation born of panic-type fear they could find the money.

I think we'd be fine, as long as it wasn't a Consol/CSHS QB

Is this something we all need to come to a realization about?

Only skimmed a few tu threads, but it is funny seeing some of them already calling to play one of their true freshmen QBs.

I really don’t understand how they don’t have more of an offensive identity. If Herman isn’t calling plays he needs to be, if he already is then what the frick happened? Dude was a savant at ISU and OSU.

It’s one thing to lack talent st certain positions, but that offense completely lacks any semblence of a plan. It looks like the disorganized bastardization of a spread we saw from Fran in 2005.
