It sounds like they're scheduling and playing powerhouses until you actually look at the teams' recent records.

LSU Oklahoma are those dates set in stone yet?
I'll believe when I see it
That series will never be played

Should be in the middle of a home-home with Michigan right now but instead had to switch it with Colorado State.
I wouldn't schedule Michigan right now OOC for love or money. They backed out on us with two years warning... which isn't near enough time to get on another P5 team's schedule, and pulled that same thing against Virginia Tech this year for the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
Fortunately for V. Tech they had Penn State on the schedule for 2020 so they will have at least one marque P5 OOC game.

OU blew LSU off in 2021-2022 to renew their Nebraska rivalry. I can respect that.

I know it doesn't actually affect anything and in fact brings in more money to the team, but I hate sponsor named stadiums. I just wish we didn't try to monetize every bit of college football. It cheapens it. Kentucky just did this last year and I hope the rest of the SEC has enough restraint to just say no.

- 2015 Wisconsin was coming off a #13 finish, 11 win season and finished the season #21 in the country
- 2016 USC finished the season #3 in the country
- 2017 FSU was coming off a Top 10 finish and was ranked in the Top 5 to open the season
So, schedule them when they aren't great and turn great and it's a problem. Schedule them when they are great and turn out bad and it's a problem. I guess the only acceptable OOC games are Ohio State and Clemson, because basically everyone else is up and down like a yo-yo. Notre Dame, Michigan, Texas, Florida State, Penn State, USC, Washington, could all have either one of the above arguments made about them from scheduling in the 2010/2011 to playing now.
It's incredible how hatred and jealousy can totally make people lose their mind and make arguments that are totally asinine and intellectually dishonest.

I can see other SEC teams doing what Uk did with the stadium name. Mizzou and Vandy for sure. I could see a handful of Big12 teams doing it too starting with Kansas and Iowa State haha

I can see it now. Kyle Field at Shiner Stadium.

Not really but Bama has gotten a lot of big-name programs when they're not particularly good. Of course, they also tend to end the year playing big name programs that are undefeated or have 1 loss, and they win that a lot, soooo

If you win 10 games a season for the next 18 seasons and A*M doesn't win a single game then you'll have caught us. That's all you have to do.

Not really,it's a great recruiting tool for Bama to play the "kickoff games" in Dallas and Atlanta.
No guarantees they get back to every December
