How many of those games scare you if you’re an MSU fan? One. At Alabama. No, I wouldn’t be scared of hosting Auburn (Gus Malzahn is 9-9 in Power 5 road games his past 4 years) and I wouldn’t be scared of traveling to LSU (remember 37-7?).
MSU would be a favorite to win at least 9 and maybe 10 of those games if oddsmakers had to make lines today.
Anybody buying that?

I don't think they will unless the DC sucks arse. They move back to a 4-3. So maybe.
If the defense is as good, EXCEPT FOR BAMA :) I think they are serious contenders.

The DC makes a huge difference with 2 and 3*s. If he sucks the defense could be garbage. If they were loaded with 4 and 5*s they could overcome the coaching somewhat.

I don't know how you would define "loaded" but that is 23 players on the defensive side of the ball that were ranked four stars or higher by one service or another. That isn't even counting guys like Montez Sweat (SEC sack leader), Cory Thomas and Mark McLaurin who are projected in the top half of the 2019 draft.
If our defense sucks it will be bc we hired Peter Sirmon 2.0, not because of a lack of talent.

If a service has a player as a 4*, then they are 4*. We aren't discussing the validity of each service.

Using different services takes the validity away from your argument that they were ranked the same way.
