Yep. Def the #2 SEC town for me. My top 5 nationally, and I have been to a ton, are:

Been to all and agree they're all great.

Annapolis is awesome.

Fort Collins is pretty neat.

Annapolis is very cool, but does it really change much when Navy has a home game? If not, this would fall into the same category as Vandy and Nashville and many other cities across the country.

you're right. awful was indeed a bad word choice. for obvious reasons, it just never felt like a college town. everything was rather spread out.

It isnt.

You must have never been. It felt like a complete town of its own and was steeped in history

I said I have been to all the towns on non-football weekends, and that is how I judged them. Which makes more sense. There are 52 weeks in a year, and only 6-8 weekends with a football game......

No I have, my college roommate went to BU Law and Lived in Cambridge.

Went to every single one multiple times from 2006-2010.

Boston is the world's largest college town. There are 35 colleges and universities in the city with over 150,000 total students. Part of why Boston is such a cool city.

While not a true college town, the shittiest City in the SEC is Baton Rouge. It's New Orleans, without any of the charm. Just the crime and corruption.

Man really? Harvard Square, the bars around, the restaurants, the campus itself were just awesome and felt like the stood alone and had nothing to do with actual Boston

Didn't really check out the city, but the campus in Oxford is really beautiful. Has a nice, compact feel compared to sprawling campuses like Tuscaloosa.

Tuscaloosa's metro hasn't grown much, but the city itself has grown 26% since 2000. Going from 78k to nearly 100k is pretty good.

In terms of living and building a career, Tuscaloosa is far shittier than BR.

unrelated to the university.

Isn't the school what makes a college town a college town?
