Which rivalry do y'all think is bigger? Michigan and Ohio State or Auburn and Alabama?
To me it appears that Michigan and Ohio State is a bigger deal to the players than Auburn and Alabama is to their players. It appears to me that the Auburn and Alabama rivalry is a bigger deal to the fans than the players.
I'm leaning towards Michigan and Ohio State as the bigger rivalry

it's bigger for whichever rivalry is more relevant to the ultimate prize. Bama/Auburn wins that for the time being.

The real question is, how long before the LSU/A&M rivalry surpasses both?

Auburn/Bama is the biggest rivalry in college football.

Bama/Auburn is the bigger deal. Hell, Army/Navy is bigger than Michigan/OSU.

Auburn-Alabama is more intense for the people who care, but Michigan-Ohio State is probably a "broader" rivalry.
I.e. Auburn-Alabama is deeper, but Michigan-Ohio State is wider.

They've played 111 times... From 1893 till 1948 AU & UA only played 12 times. No games from 1907 till 1948...

Meh. Alabama and auburn may be more intense for the people in the state, but i think OSU/UM has more appeal

No , the Iron bowl is the biggest hyped rivalry in college football.
I would put it no greater in the minds of college fans who are not fans of either school , being greater than any other rivaly.
The point of the OP is valid regarding the players rivalry. UM-tOSU is greater in that facility. I think part of that has to do with how much AU-UA has to build their teams with players from other states. Out of state players do not see the game and different than a normal game, because they didn't grow up with it being big to them.

So that determins it? How many times has Auburn/UGA played? Who do you think is a bigger rivalry, Auburn/bama or Auburn/UGA?

I think the point is, could you imagine those two schools not playing for 40 years? Of course not
