He is very easy to dislike and hearing him speak is very annoying, but he is a football genius. I hate to admit it, but I think he and Saban are right there with one another as the best coaches in college football.

I thought Gus was the undisputed best in college? By the way, you missed a spot - there's a little dribble of CoachUrbanMeyer on your chin there.

No doubt. He's the king right now.

Love that we had him for a while.

So how long before he heads to Notre Dame?

I'd like to see him maintain success somewhere before crowning him the best. You can't gloss over how he left UF and walked into a near perfect situation at OSU.

He is an elite coach though. No doubt about that.

I love Urban Meyer.

Beats Alabama. Dominates the Big 10. And winless against Auburn. Good guy, he is.

He is elite. I don't know about the best yet.

Can we not be so goddamn reactionary about everything?

Him beating Saban in the playoffs cements his legacy for sure.

If you're going to list all of his accomplishments you need to add at least one more.

Totally fricking over Florida and leaving them dangling in the wind for 4 years.

Have to agree, He has made the Big 10 relevant once again. but definitely no offense to my dear friend Nick but Urban is the best right now.

He is certainly, IMO, the best game day coach in the country right now.

It's the little things, like knowing when to go for it on 4th down, knowing he needed to run that one last play before the end of the third quarter last night, etc.

4 > 3.

Until Urban ties the number of NC's he is number 2. He also needs to repeat or have a run similar to 3 outta 4.

But yeah, he has an argument.

Great coach, no doubt about it...probably on top as of this moment...

That being said, I do wonder why he had maybe his best QB 3rd on the depth chart...maybe he wasn't a practice warrior, but Jones brought a whole new dynamic to that offense...big dude that can run, hard to tackle, and has a cannon for an arm...an argument can be made that OSU's QB depth chart at the beginning of the season should've been flipped. JT Barrett was better than Miller and, arguably (since he's only had 3 games) Jones was better than Barrett. Don't think OSU wins it all if Miller doesn't get hurt as he wasn't a strong passer; might've still won it with Barrett though. Gonna be interesting to see who starts at OSU next year...with what they have returning, OSU should be the solid pre-season #1 favorite...
