Order of hate for the other Texas teams?

I recall an Aggie poster on here saying that the one thing that he did like about the SWC was because it was essentially the Texas conference, and all the Texas teams would spend every Saturday playing each other, so how does A&M "rank" the other Texas teams on the hate scale?

I assume the Horns are number for most Aggies, and I can understand why they flipped their shite when A&M decided to leave the Big 12, but why the hell did Baylor get so bitter over it?

Did the SWC rivalries may have cooled down for the TX teams that didn't make it into the Big 12 when the SWC collapsed?

I hate that the SWC blew up but it was for the better probably.

Baylor was concerned that with us leaving, Texas and OU would get wandering eyes and they would be relegated to a C USA level conference if the Big 12 fell apart (which is where their football history indicates they belong, recent success aside). They only got into the Big 12 over TCU because of aggressive political action by Ann Richards, the governor at the time and a Baylor alum (if I remember the story correctly, some older Ags might be able to correct me here or provide more detail). NVM it was Bob Bullock

My order of hate for the TX schools goes

1. Texas- just flat out frick them. Probably the same way you feel about Clemson

2. Baylor- others will probably put Tech here because of their rambunctious fans, but I have Baylor here. All of the kids from HS who went to Baylor and the people I've met in the work world have been either a) extremely strange or b) total douchebags. It's a small sample size and I'm sure there are some good folks, but that's what I have to base it on. Them trying to block us from leaving with litigation pretty much summarizes the Baylor fanbase and mentality IMO. Also their fanbase was pathetic in terms of support for basically their entire history

3. Tech- on the flip side I know some great Tech folks who like to party and are passionate about their teams. I have experienced them get pretty riled up and give A&M fans shite but never anything too over the top like some others here probably have. I definitely enjoyed owning them and rubbing it in their faces the last few years in the Big 12 though

t4- the non Big 12 schools. I don't really have hate for them as I'm in my mid 20s and didn't experience the SWC. I could see myself fricking hating SMU if I was in school for their reign of terror though. Brief summaries of how I view them below in no particular order

Rice- great school gorgeous campus and a gorgeous neighborhood around it. I had a few friends from HS who played baseball here so I kind of side root for them in that when we aren't playing them. Also it's funny it's called Rice because there's a lot of Asian kids there

SMU- their reputation is well known, I barely consider this a TX school. Visited friends from HS there and it was all kids from Connecticut and California who wanted to live the TX/ Dallas stereotype for four years. Great grad programs, beautiful campus, and I enjoy taking over their campus for "away" games.

TCU- my backup if I hadn't been accepted to A&M. New and pretty campus, gorgeous girls, and Fort Worth is great. I hold very little contempt if any for them.

Lol I forgot UH- UH is an enormous commuter school that is just very meh to me. It has like 40k students and I grew up in Houston and don't know a single person who went there for undergrad, but know a ton who are in or completed grad degrees there while working in Houston. Most of those people went to A&M, UT or OU and don't really associate with UH, it just doesn't register

Baylor got bitter because they almost lost their Big12 honey hole. Without the Big12, they are Sun Belt Conference bound. They reacted the same way a dog does when its cornered and injured.

As far as SMU, UofH, and Rice, there is still hate but we are usually at the receiving end. I think most of that hate is due to A&M and Texas being the darlings of the state (you know, 'haters gonna hate' type of deal). I'm sure there was hate back in the day from the A&M/Texas faithful, but a lot of that competitive hate is all but gone. When you ask students at UofH or SMU what they think of A&M/Texas, you'll probably get a hateful response. But ask the same question at A&M/UT and you'll get some non-hateful tame response (kinda like "I got friends there..." and such).

In order of hate:

Texas - no explanation necessary
Tech - I know a lot of good red raiders, but there are just too many bad experiences that I've had personally as a t shirt fan in Lubbock.
Texas State - so many tshirt tU Fans there and I just don't know any TSU grads I'm a fan of.
Rice- their fans are kinda whatever, but their band can eatabola dicks.
Baylor - I know a lot of tools with their recent success, but the longtime fans that I know (whether end the Morris years like we did the Fran years) are pretty good people. We'd love Briles if he were our coach and anybody that thinks differently is kidding themselves. He's just a tool because he coaches a rivilish school.

Who cares:
TCU
SMU
UNT

Lifetime:

texas
tech
baylor
the others mean nothing to me.

Recently:
Baylor
Texas
Tech

I feel it must be stated that my hate for ut is primarily administration & t-shirt fans. All of the ut grads I've met/know pretty much don't give a shite about sports in general, and if they do it's with an understanding of where sports fandom should lie in their list of priorities.

As for Baylor and tech, nothing but trash top to bottom.

just listing SWC schools it would go like this for me

01. Texas -

02. Baylor - hypocritical self righteous throw their religious superiority bullshite in your face asshats. If one could say beating Texas used to save the year, losing to Baylor would ruin it.

03. Texas Tech - one of just two fanbases that have thrown shite at me, often pissed they were rejected by A&M and/or Texas

04. SMU - condescending pretty people

05. TCU - johnny come lately frat daddies who can't remember anything past Patterson

06. Houston - their fans have been dick heads about us taking Sumlin, blame A&M for their issues even though we recommended them over TCU as a replacement

07. Rice - their band made a bunch of old WW2 vets mad in the 70s and I'll have to hear about it every damn time we play for the rest of my life

its tough to really hate the other ones but I guess if I were to list them it would go

08. UTEP - ugly unis, in El Paso

09. UTSA - ugly unis

10. Texas State - Fran coaches there

11. North Texas - umm... Denton is a pain in the arse to get to?

1. tu
2. Tech - Their fanbase seems to have an unreal amount of hatred for us. It's obnoxious.
3. Baylor - They suck and I don't like that they are good.
4. TCU - Purple Baylor

I like all the other Texas schools. Almost went to SMU, but I wanted to be an engineer. Rice is the best academic institution in the state, and I ahve a buddy that's a GA for them. U of H I know absolutely nothing about. It's a commuter school.

1. Tech. They won't be a popular choice for #1, but this is a no-brainer for me. Bad fans, bad city, bad times. eATMe.
2. Texas. Will only pull for them when playing Tech, and will feel dirty afterwards.

The others - just don't care. I get that many hate Baylor's President Ken Starr for his lawsuit threats, but I don't associate him with the Baylor people I know. I'm hopelessly biased because so many family members are Baylor grads. Apparently Baylor students now suck, or something, but when I was in school Baylor was about the only place to get a date! And I never had a problem on their campus once, whether wearing the uniform or not.

t.u.: no explanation needed

tech: obnoxious in their anti-a&m hate, which i'll never get

baylor: more of a familiarity breeding contempt thing, since i lived in Waco for awhile. Have a sister going there now tho, so i hate them less

Who gives a rat's arse about the others?

1. UTex - I struggle to put words to this one
2. Baylor - miserable fanbase, angry unethical coaches (both the men & the women), pathetic administration, so much "wannabe" and misguided self-worth
3. Tech - annoying as hell, but relatively harmless; they try, but they're still Texas Tech
4. SMU - real tough to respect, and their fans--on the whole--need an arse-kicking
5. Rice - dorks
6. TCU - no real issues with them
7. UH - don't ever think about em

I always pull for Sam Houston, North Texas, SFA, etc.; but never for any UT system schools, nor for Texas State, due to their worthless head coach & over-the-top UTex tshirt fandom.

Baylor - because their graduates are the worst. It's an overprice private university with a mediocre educational program. They think they are Rice but lets be honest.

Texas/Tech - if we are talking all fans Texas is here. If we are talking about graduates tech fans are here. It is clearly based on douchiness level.

TCU - When they joined the big xii they've started developing frick Aggies they left the bigxii mentality. Makes no sense since Yea we can all do math. Purple fricks are becoming real douche bags.

SMU - Yea I've only met like 3 fans from here

Rice - weak arse MOB performance. I want troll son

UH - How can you hate a school who nicknames their mascot Shasta?

My personal order of hate:

1. t.u. Their arrogance and liberal mindset just flat turns me off. And who in their right mind thought burnt orange was fashionable?

2. Baylor. A bunch of hypocrites who disavow half of what their holy writings teach and don't practice the rest. After covering up a murder you think they would do a 180 and run a clean program. Instead they recruit women beaters, open lesbians, and outright thugs.

3. SMU. Growing up in Oak Cliff I learned to look down on the Park Cities.

Schools I like (other than A&M of course):

1. Rice. Outside of baseball they don't care much about sports. They're too busy with homework.

2. TCU. If your goal in life is to be a rich bitch sorostitute, apply here. SMU needs to take pointers.

3. UNT. Despite Denton becoming more suburban, it still manages to be a college town at heart. Plus no matter how the team is doing (usually bad), you know the band will do well at halftime.

Oh and my most hated "Texas" team is OU. Their program is nothing without stealing Texas talent. Their cheating way back when basically stole our birthright of being the FSU of Texas.
