2. The fact that you think a player without a position that played less than 50% of snaps his rookie year and only graded out positively in 4/15 games has "done as well" as one of the best right tackles in football lets the rest of is know how valuable your opinion is.
"Elite RT" is like being the best Nickleback. You are already not the best on the team at your reposition. There is a reason the salaries aren't comparable.
Mingo was second ont he team in sacks, so he is doing ok

Whenever someone brings up nickelbback, you know they've lost the argument.

I am sure the Bengal dreamed of having an "Elite RT" with the 6th overall pick.

Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. But you act like he's a bust because he can't play LT?

You do realize that few teams play their third best Corner at Nickel, right? Some guys simply fit better at Nickel, some fit better at Corner.
Holy shite, I think we've confirmed that this guy doesn't know what he's talking about.

bullshite. Most teams don't do that.
IF you are a top 2 CB then you are gonna be on the field all the time. Nickel is just the 5th DB on the field.

Which teams play their second best corner in situational packages? Not arguing, just want to know what to look for, if that is what you are saying.

i know the saints don't do it. I know LSU only did it with Tyrann matthieu and has never done it with anyone else.
Give me some examples or suck it.
If Whitworth left and they didn't have a better option guess where Smith would move, and the holes in his game would show.

If Tebow was drafted in the first round and played QB.. but couldn't cut it and was moved to FB, and was the best FB in the NFL.. is he still a bust? IDK. The team that drafted him certainly wouldn't be getting what they paid for.

Value loss of moving a highly drafted QB to FB is not remotely close to moving a tackle to the right side over the left. Apples to oranges.

Lots of knighting for Claiborne being in the wrong system. Imagine if a bama fan had said on page one, "Trent Richardson is a great running back in a zone blocking system, that's what he ran behind at bama"
Essentially it's the same argument lsu fans are making for Claiborne on the other side of the ball. That would've made for a great thread.

Anyone can run in a zone blocking scheme ask Shannahan he never gave a frick who he was making a 1000 yard rusher.

Terrell Davis, Clinton Portis, Reuben Droughns, Tatum Bell, Mike Anderson, Olandis Gary, Quentin Griffin, Travis Henry, and so forth... Plug and play in that offensive scheme.

He was voted by fellow players as one of the top 100 players in the league after his rookie year. Half the guys you just named were damn good running backs regardless of scheme. And if zone blocking were far superior like is being implied then everyone would do it.

Terrell Davis, Clinton Portis and Travis Henry were good running backs regardless of system, but the rest were not. I could've also thrown out Selvin Young, Peyton Hillis and others that were apart of the system.
I've followed Mike and Kyle Shanahan and Gary Kubiak for a long time. Zone blocking scheme is running back friendly. Very, very running back friendly.

He had a thousand yards on 300 carries . Good year, but everyone thought he would get better, and he didn't
Zone blocking schemes have their downsides.

ZBS isn't superior, but backs are trained differently. If they've been in a ZBS for a while, they read blocks and make cuts MUCH differently than a power blocking scheme.

That's a slightly different case. FBs are rarely drafted at all. Had he become one of the best TEs, then I'd say he isn't a bust.
