You are the one on here boasting about the mighty JFF and the Aggie Hunh torching Bama.
Which they did, and it's relevant to the thread because it furthered Saban's fear of that type of offense.
Please try and stay on topic.

Frick you. You have never played a down past high school and here you are giving me insight about fatigue, plays ran and other things you've never experience and know frick all about.

You want to make them practice like professional, generate an obscene amount from them, but you want to limit them financially?
Screw you. Someone should tell you to do your same job but at 10% of what you're currently getting because the extra 90% will hurt the company's ability to impress shareholders with higher profits.

A fear which he used to beat you in your own stadium this year.
Congrats on that victory two season ago btw.

Allow me to educate you.
If you decide to start paying college football players, the Title IX ould require you to start paying every athlete at your institution. If you work the math out on this, even at $100 a month for each athlete it would absolutely cripple all but a select few athletic departments in the country.
Additionally, how would the payment systems work? Do players get raises for doing better than others? Who regulates the funding to keep big schools from sneaking more under the table?
It's filled with all sorts of issues you and most fans don't think about when they blindly scream "pay them!!!" It isn't feasible.

Won't need it against A&M now that Sherman's recruits are moving on.

These folks are all inbred trolls who don't even understand the ins and outs of WHY a HUNH works. It's not snapping the ball before the defense is "ready," it's about having a way to keep the defense off-balance at all times by having multiple reads built into a single play and causing the defense to revert to a base defense because they have more complicated terminology and haven't figured out how to call and read on the fly.
Defensive coaches, if they didn't rely on less cerebral players running the show, could try to simplify their terminology and shorten play calls just like the HUNH coaches did with their offenses. You don't see West Coast terminology going uptempo because it takes 20 seconds just to get the play in (Green Right Strong Slot Spider 2 Y Banana - lol). Why do you think the Patriots have adjusted so well? They don't have a playcalling "language," they have a concept-based play-calling scheme where the shape of the play has a name like "Ghost Tosser" or the like that is much more readily modifiable for on-the-fly adjustments.
But instead of adjusting their nomenclature and playcalling strategies and developing cerebral leaders who can call their own plays on defense, they try to be underhanded and change the rules of the game.

It's perfectly relevant when you are on here bashing Saban as being scared of the HUNH when Bama's pro-style outscored your HUNH with "the greatest player EVAH!!!...ERMAGAWD!!!!"

The thing I cant stand about those supporting the rule is the hiding behind the narrative of"injury and safety". What a complete load of bull shite. Its pussy shite. If they want to argue a change because of an unfair competitive advantage then stand of the merits of that argument and make your case. This pussy shite that Bert and Saban are hiding behind is laughable. So are those blindly defending them.
Great point.
These tools have become so accustomed to doing wholesale substitutions (based on downs and distance) that they haven't recruited real three down football players, just specialists.
It's a sad, sad day that a HOFer like Nick Saban has been reduced to crying uncle AND then hiding behind such a red herring as player safety. Face it... the game has passed him by.

If I was an Alabama or Arkansas fan I'd be too embarrassed by this to say a word about it other than trying to distance myself from it. Because this is blatant. FEAR is the only thing motivating this. I like Fedora's shot at Saban where he says
He couldn't have hit that nail on the head any harder. Saban wants to change the game to keep the advantage in his favor. It's irrefutable. And anyone pathetic enough to try to justify it is really just pointing out what a sad homer they are.
Your coach is terrified the game just passed him by and his built in advantage is no longer going to be as huge as it was. He'd be better off getting out now and retiring before it becomes clear that he cannot adapt to the changes.

“I think you’ve got more chance of players getting hurt if the opposing team has too many five-star players on it,” Fedora said. “So let’s just say one team can only sign two five-star players on its team. How about that?”

Excellent post...until you jumped the shark in the last paragraph....as a defensive minded coach, all Saban is saying that there should be a 10 second window to check his defensive package...why is that so wrong?

It's wrong because that's not his argument. He's saying this is about player safety. He's lying through his teeth and you know it.

He has said its about both issues....now maybe the player safety issue is somewhat b.s. but its reasoable that the D should have a chance to get its personel on the field. The HUNH has the ability to freeze the D...all Saban is saying is that there should be a reasonable (10 seconds) window to check in his personel....again, why is he wrong?

That's BS. Auburn had zero trouble substituting against HUNH teams. It's all about coaches being ready, and having their players ready, to sub in and out.

That has been the big surprise to me - not so much that Saban and Bielema would pull a sneak attack like this but that their fans would then rush to their defense! It's mind-boggling. If Sumlin pulled something like this I'd stay far, far away from message boards out of humiliation.
