My first memory is from an Auburn/LSU game when I was little. It had to have been either 1992 or 1994, so I was either 4 or 6. All I remember about that game was being mesmerized by the bands. I decided then I was going to be in band when I was older. Sure enough, I spent 10 years in marching band (8th grade-5 years in the Million Dollar Band). I doubt I ever would have become a football fan if it wasn't for that game.
So screw you Auburn and LSU on the football field, but thank you to you band programs for get little kid me interested

1992 Alabama-Tennessee game at Ruby Tuesdays. I was only 9 years old. I remember Tennessee fans thinking they were going to win and one of my friends running back and forth to the bar to see what was going on every time the Tennessee fans started shouting. At the time I didn't really give a shite about football. I probably couldn't wait to get home and play Super Contra on my Nintendo.

Mom and Dad brought me home a Jerry Stovall bobble head player. Poor Jerry "Snowball" got the chit kicked out of him every waking minute of my young life until his head could not take it any more and became detached from the body
My grandmother who went to church every day listening to the LSU games on the radio screaming Kill him Man!!! Kill him

I went to a Bama game in 1978 when I was 3, but I really don't remember much, and wouldn't really remember it if my brother didn't always talk about it.
My first real memory was a couple of years later when my grandfather and his friend took me and my brother to an Alabama practice and we got to meet Coach Bryant. He couldn't have been nicer to us.

I was 7 years old...it was during our end-of-year "Mighty Mites" football team party at our head coach's house...I remember watching the end of the 1969 Texas-Arkansas game (aka "Game of the Century") and saw Texas erase a 14-0 deficit in the 4th quarter to win 15-14...

1989 liberty bowl playing Air Force. Lady behind us yelled the whole fricking game Air Force Air Force beat the meatheads, beat the hockey pucks. Very strange cheer which is why I remember it after we beat that arse she still chanted it.

Mailon Kent leading Auburn over bammer in 1963. Jimmy Sidle got hurt on (I think) the first set of downs for Auburn.

Not sure if it was my first Auburn game, but the first I can remember going to was the 93 Auburn Florida game. I was 4 and used to get really bad ear aches as a kid and had one at the game. I remember it being so loud and crying because my ear was killing me. I also remember driving through Toomers right after the game and laying in the back of our van.

There are two and I'm not sure which came first.
I have a 3 second glimpse of a memory in which I was watching the Carolina-Clemson game with my parents. I'm not sure which year but I do know it was in Columbia. Anyway I remember my parents telling me that Clemson is our least favorite team and to never root for them. As a kid I asked something like "well what if they're playing our 2nd least favorite team?" they said "No pulling for Clemson."
Another memory was seeing an ASU player weep after the Rose Bowl loss. I didn't know it was ASU and I didn't know it was the Rose bowl at the time, I just have that image burned into my head. Only later did I see that Sun Devil logo later on and realize who that was.

My first real memory is of Herschel Walker leaping over the pile on the goal line.
I can't remember what team they were playing.

I remember my Dad working at the steel mill during the week and watching Notre Dame on TV every Saturday. After which my brothers and I would go out and play football and I'd be Jack Snow.
When I got older I played football at Joliet Catholic High and carried a secret ambition to play in South Bend. Unfortunately, I didn't have the grades because of dyslexia and had to take a job in the steel mill. Then I lost my best friend in an explosion at the steel mill and decided I had to give it a shot.
I showed up at South Bend with nothing but a duffel bag full of dreams and high ambitions. Anyway to make a long story short, I met this black guy and a priest and a fat brainiac who helped me make my grades and I made the team as a walk on. And I was able to help my Dad and brothers see their first live game at Notre Dame one I played in. I made a sack and they carried me off the field. Thank god they had a good camera angle to catch it!
